“Yahshua”–Believing in the Meaning of His Name

The  disciples are looking up into the serene face of the risen Savior.  They have been with him for forty days now—witnessing the glory in His every word and movement.  He has taught them precious things “pertaining to the kingdom of God.”  He has also instructed them to stay in Jerusalem and “wait for the promise of the Father.”  He has told them to wait for a spiritual baptism in which they will be immersed in God’s very own Spirit.  No water like John’s baptism—this time the power from on high will come upon them.

This promise to them must have been difficult to believe because instead of asking questions about it, they ask a question concerning the kingdom.  Thinking He was talking about a political government, they ask, “Wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?”

He responds by saying that the times and seasons of the restoration of the kingdom to Israel rests in the Father’s power.  Shortly, you will be given some of this power from the Father.  That is the first step in the restoration process.  You disciples must begin to receive some of the Father’s power so that you can be witnesses of Me, not only locally, but throughout the whole world.  First receive the power of the Father, and then He will restore the government to Israel in due season.

This account in the first chapter of Acts begins the talk of the restoration of all things in the post-resurrection era.  Peter picks up this thread in Acts 3: 21 when he tells the crowd on the day of Pentecost that   “the heaven must receive” the Savior “until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”  In other words, the Savior Yahshua will not be returning to set up the kingdom of God here on earth until all things are restored.

Restoring the Knowledge of His Name

And one major piece of the puzzle that God is restoring is the knowledge of His name.  First, we must become aware of His original Hebrew name.  But that is only the beginning.  The secrets of God’s power are locked up inside the holy name of God—secrets to His power, secrets about receiving answers to our prayers, and secrets about how to have Him flow through us to heal, which, in turn, shows that the Father is alive and well and living in His sons and daughters.

Clues to the Power in His Name

Peter gives a clue to this healing power found in His name five verses before in Acts 3:16.  Peter and John had, of course, just received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire on the day of Pentecost.  They go to the temple; a lame man asks alms from them.  Peter then delivers his famous line.  “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Yahshua the Messiah of Nazareth rise up and walk.”  And the man was healed!

And he starts to walk and leap around in the temple, praising God for healing him.  And everybody standing around knew this crippled man, and “they were all filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him” (v. 8-11).

And Peter, looking around, realizes that the people think that they had healed him somehow.   So he straightens them out and tells them that it was the Holy One who had healed him.  In fact, he gets even more specific about just how the man was healed.  “And his name through faith in His name has made this man strong.”

Wait a minute now.  Let’s not just pass over this lightly.  It was “His name through faith in His name” that infused that poor man’s legs with strength.

Now if a person nowadays could channel this power by just saying, “in Jesus name,” then everybody would be healing the sick everywhere  And we know that is not happening.  So there has to be more to it than just speaking a formula, such as “in Jesus’ name.”

And, yet, we have thousands of so called men of God running around the earth trying to invoke the name of God in order to heal someone.  They will say earnestly, “But He said that if we ask anything in his name, that He would grant it.”

Now all of us at one time or another labored under this thought.  We have understood this to mean that if we say the special words, “in Jesus’ name,” that somehow or other God would answer our prayer requests.

But upon further reflection, just saying those words, “in Jesus’ name” tacked onto the end of a prayer, does not guarantee anything.  Our minds, of course, did not know what else those words could mean.  After all, someone supposedly much more knowledgeable about God than us showed us how to say “in Jesus’ name” after our prayer request, and so we, without questioning it, began to say it.  We were young and impressionable.  We did not know any better.  We were spiritual children, “tossed about by every wind of doctrine.”

And then a wonderful thing happened.  We learned about the sacred names.  It was a glorious revelation at the time.  And so we began to replace the name of Jesus with God’s Hebrew names.  And, so, we naturally ended our prayers, asking all “in the name of Yah, or Yahweh or Yahshua.”

But we still are saying the words, “in Yahshua’s name,” at the end of our prayers the same way we did with, “in Jesus’ name.”  We have the name right now, but why aren’t we seeing the fruit of our prayers?  Why are we powerless to heal in His name?

The key:  Believing what His name means

It is time for us to get a deeper understanding of His promise, “Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do…” (John 14:13).  YHWH earnestly desires to share this with us.  He wants us to have the power to be His witnesses.  So what is the key to understanding what this means: asking anything in His name and receiving it?

The key lies in believing what His name means. Three steps are on this road of understanding.  First, we need to know His name.   Second, we need to know what His name means.  Third, we need to believe in the meaning of His name.

The Hebrew name of Immanuel, God with us, is Yahshua.  There are many variations on the spelling.  Spellings may be different by one or more letters.  Different camps are adamant that their spelling is the correct one.  I’m not trying to be glib here, but until He or one of His heavenly messengers speak His name to us, it is difficult to be sure.  Paul of Tarsus, under the influence of the Spirit, said that the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.  Getting to the spirit of His name is more important than the exact spelling, as rendered in a foreign language called English.  Understanding its meaning is the important thing.

Yahshua means “Yah is Savior.”  “Yah” translated means in essence, “The Self-Existent One.”  So, “Yahshua” means “The Self-Existent One is Savior.”  YHWH created everything, says many verses of scripture.  It also says that Yahshua created all things.  “He was in the world and the world was made by Him,” says the apostle John.  “You shall call His name “Yah Is Savior,” for He shall save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1:21).

Believing in the meaning of His Hebrew Name

It is when we get to this third step that the going gets tough.  Believing in the meaning of His name.  That is the difficult part because one must throw away preconceptions about His name, and there are plenty.  This is the crux of the matter, however.  If it were not difficult to come to this part of the quest for God, then everyone would have the power.

This is what, literally, separates the sheep from the goats, the spirit of truth from the spirit of error.  To believe the message contained in His name, we must believe its meaning.  And it means that Yah, the eternal Spirit, the Father, dwells in a human vessel known as the Son of God, and that entity, called the Holy One of Israel, is the Creator and Savior of mankind.

There are not “two men and a dove” up in heaven somewhere.  There are not two gods in two different forms sitting on two different thrones.  The Father is invisible—period.  If you want to see the Father, you will have to go to the “expressed image of the invisible God.”  In other words, you will have to go to the Son, for He is that very image of God.  And so are we humans, for that matter.  We have been created by the Pattern Himself in His own image.  You want to see what God would look like here on earth?  Just look around at your brothers and sisters walking the globe.  That is the reason that he said, “If you cannot love him who you can see, you cannot love Him who you don’t see.” To love the invisible Father we need to love His visible image.  That would be Yah in human flesh—Immanuel, an invisible Spirit, dwelling in the Son, who is sitting upon the throne.  For He is the First and the Last, and “Beside YHWH, there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:11).  The prophet Isaiah saw into the throne room in heaven; he is a reliable witness to His majesty.  We need to believe him.  KWHancock

God’s Eternal Purpose: “Bringing Many Sons unto Glory”

The thoughts and intents of the Father’s heart are without beginning and end.  His purpose has existed through all time and has never wavered, has never changed. His intention toward His creation is everlasting.

It is forever the same and will always be true and valid.  His purpose will always go on; it will never stop.  It will come to pass; nothing can prevent His eternal purpose from finding full fruition in this earth and in the heavens.  His purpose is, of course, the perfect example of the  definition of “eternal” (Webster’s New World Dictionary of the American Language, 2nd College Edition).

God not only has, but is the definitive word on what will transpire here on earth and in the entire universe.  “In the beginning was the Word…and the Word was God” John 1:1.  “Word” is translated from the Greek word Logos, meaning “(1) a thought or concept; (2) the expression or utterance of that thought” (note, Scofield Reference Bible, p. 1114).  Therefore, in the beginning was the thought or concept, and that thought or concept was the Supreme Being.  And that thought, that Word, became an utterance of that thinking.  And that Word, that Thought, would unfold into a living reality throughout the universe.

Those thoughts, expressed in words, comprise the purpose of God.  His purpose is the road His creation will travel.  His thoughts are His counsel, and they shall stand forever and will come to pass.  The counsel of Yahweh standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Psalms 33:11. 

    Both “purpose” and “thoughts” are words in English translated from the same Hebrew word machashabah, #4284 in Strong’s Concordance.  His thoughts are His purpose.  They express His intentions, His plan, His purpose.  And these thoughts, this purpose, are an intention directed personally and deliberately by God toward His people.  It is a plan that involves people right here on earth.  David knew this intimate truth that God hovers in thought abundantly over his people.  Many, O Yahweh, my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward; they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Psalms 40:5.  David was well aware of God’s purpose, which definitely concerned him and all of Israel.

And the Word, the Purpose, the Thoughts of God “became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth” John 1:14.  The Word/Purpose/Thoughts of God was made flesh; He is called the Son of God, and He is full of grace and truth.  If we can tap into the truth of God’s purpose, if we can conceive of His plan, then we will know the thoughts and intents of His heart.  And when we think those thoughts, and have the same intention and purpose that He is and has, then we are well on the way of pleasing the Father.

Knowing of God’s eternal purpose, which is the grace and truth that the Word-made-flesh was full of, will bring light to us.  For the Word-made-flesh is Light.  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.  He came unto his own, and his own received him not. John 1:9-11. 

The Purpose Incarnate was walking around on the earth He created with the people He had chosen to reveal Himself through, and the majority rejected Him.  But some will receive Him, and they will receive power to become like Him.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12.

     Received Him?  Who is He?  He is the Word, the Thought, the Purpose of God from the beginning put into earthen vessels.  Receive His thoughts and intention and purpose and you are receiving Him.  And you will then receive power to become His sons.  And the sons will have believed on His name.  The sons will not only know His real Hebrew name Yahshua, but they will believe what His name means.  More on that later.

His Purpose Is Sharing Himself with His Offsprin

Yes, Yahweh has a purpose.  He has thoughts toward certain chosen vessels, His sons and daughters to be.  To get them into His camp, He deliberately contacts them or calls them.  He lets them know He is real in some way.  He puts a desire and a hunger in their hearts to know the truth as to why they are here.  He feeds their hunger with small portions of the truth, and they grow.  And soon they begin to realize that everything seems to work out for them.  Even through the bad times, the times of suffering, both of their making and through no fault of their own, God seems to bring some good out of it.  They realize that they are maturing and becoming less selfish.  They begin to love this invisible God who has provided a plan to deliver them from their sinful selves.  Where once they were destroying themselves and their families, they now are enjoying more peace and harmony in  their  lives.   And  we  know   that   all  things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28. 

      At first, his offspring may not realize that they are a special creation descended from Adam, who was created some 6,000 years ago in God’s image.  Other men had been created by God earlier.  We know this because Cain was cast out to the east of Eden after murdering his brother Abel, and there he took a wife from those people. But the descendants of Adam had a special destiny in God’s heart.   God had His eye on a few of these Adamites  before they ever were born on earth.  Unknown to them at first, He would call and choose out a few whom He knew beforehand.  And He gave them a destiny before their entry into a mortal earthly fleshly existence.  He predestinated them to be made into the exact image of the Son of God, the Word-Thought-Purpose of God.  They are to be His siblings, his brothers.  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be con-formed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 8:29.  For God knew his own before ever they were, and also ordained that they should be shaped to the likeness of his Son. 8:29. NEB.

     And those that He predestinated to be exactly like Himself, those are the ones that He first contacts or calls.  And, as far as He is concerned, it is a done deal.  It is His Thought toward them that they should be like Himself.  What He has purposed, who can prevent it from coming to pass?  To those that He called, He gave them a new heart that does not sin against Him.  He justified them.  They are in His sight justified from all of their despicable past actions.  They, of course, must witness this on earth by believing the word of God about His Son, who is the sacrifice for our sins, whose shed blood slays the sin within us.  It is already done and over with in God’s mind before it ever happens here on earth to His children! And to those called ones who He has justified, He in His thinking,  in  His heart, has already glorified!  More-over, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 8:30.  He chose them long ago; when the time came he called them, he made them righteous in his sight, and then lifted them to the splendour of life as his own sons. 8:30. Phillips. 

This is God’s Doing and Not Ours

      God the Word has thought it all out and has purposed it and planned it to happen according to His predetermined counsel. Nothing accidentally happens.  He is calling, justifying, and glorifying His elect, the chosen few.  They will be “conformed to the image of His Son.” They will shortly be glorified and have their mortality swallowed up by His miraculous eternal life!  God is for them!  He helps them to do His plan, and this personally pleases Him. He gives them what they need and when they need it to become what He has pre-determined for them to become.  In the face of all this, what is there left to say?  If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not grudge his own Son but gave him up for us all—can we not trust such a God to give us, with him, everything else that we can need?  Romans 8:31, Phillips. 

 Not According to Us, But to His Own Purpose

      We cannot do anything to become a part of His purpose and plan.  God is saving some and calling some with a holy calling, but it is not because of anything “good” or “evil” that they have done.  You cannot work at it  in  order  to be accepted as a son or daughter.  You work at it because you realize you are chosen by God.  You cannot give enough offerings or go to church tirelessly and endlessly and expect to be one of the chosen ones by your efforts.  To be called to be like Him, to be chosen as one of his sons is not according to our own works.  It has nothing to do with what we have done, do, or ever will do.  He calls us to be His immortal sons and daughters in accordance with His own purpose that was given to us in Yahshua His Son before the world began.  Who has saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Yahshua the Messiah before the world began.  II Timothy 1:9.

     Our perfection and sonship in Him was given to us before the creation of the world.  Therefore, we were in existence before the world began!  We had to have spiritually been with Him in the beginning in order to have received the holy calling of sonship from Him.  It is he who brought us salvation and called us to a dedicated life, not for any merit of ours but of his own purpose and his own grace, which was granted to us in Yahshua from all eternity. 1:9. NEB.

The Inheritance

The sons and daughters of God have obtained an inheritance.  Our destiny is to inherit all things and to reign with the King of the Universe.  Now this inheritance that some are to receive is a destiny that He has pre-arranged for that elect few.  He has predestined them for greatness.  He has selected these chosen few before the world ever was, to be like Him.  And their lives—their destiny as His sons and daughters—have been predestinated in accordance with His own purpose.  He  thought  it  through  before  the  world  ever  was,  and He purposed and planned it all out to the finest detail.  He then began to work all things after the counsel of His own will  and  purpose.   For  God has allowed us to know the secret of his plan, and it is this: He purposes in his sovereign will that all human history shall be consummated in Christ, that everything that exists in Heaven or earth shall find its  perfection and fulfillment in him.  And here is the staggering thing—that in all which will one day belong to him, we have been promised a share (since we were long ago destined for this by the one who achieves his purposes by his sovereign will), so that we, as the first to put our confidence in Christ, may bring praise to his glory! Ephesians 1:9-12, Phillips.

Summary

The great Creator, the Giver of life, has a definite plan and purpose in creating all things.  He has revealed His purpose over the last 6,000 years to only a few human beings.  We call them apostles and prophets, and they by inspiration of the Spirit of God have left us some writings that tell of His purpose.

They tell of His promise to humankind of a life everlasting—an eternal life where our frail, flimsy earthen bodies will be replaced by a glorious spiritual body in which those blessed ones will live with the Heavenly Father as His spiritual sons and daughters, His heirs of His kingdom.

The apostles and prophets speak of the following concepts that are a part of the perfecting of His sons and daughters:

  • Purpose—No accidents.  He has an eternal purpose in reproducing Himself in His children.
  • Predestination—He has given a royal destiny to a few human beings before they were ever born here on earth.
  • Foreknowledge—He knew who they would be before they were born into this earth.
  • Election—Same word as “chosen.”  He chooses or elects certain human beings to fulfill His will.
  • Grace or Favor—He favors the ones He has chosen.  They are predisposed to respond to Him, and He showers great grace on them, or He favors them with a depth of knowledge about His purpose and how He is going to perform his plan.
  • Kings and Priests—The elect or the chosen ones will acquire immortality according to His will and become like Him.  They will do the “greater works” as His ruling royal family.  They will be His immortal offspring, able to mediate the glorious blessings of His Spirit to the rest of creation.  They will be His inner circle, His cadre, His round table of rulers in His exact image, able to love mankind in the same powerful way that He did.
  • Sovereignty—He is sovereign and can do whatever He desires to do and whenever He decides to do it, in order to accomplish His purpose, plan, intention and thoughts.

“Greater Works” Comes by Believing Yahweh Dwelt Bodily in Christ

The time was growing short.  The Savior knew that He had but a short time to be with the disciples that He had chosen to reveal Himself to.  He began to comfort them with words that would reassure them that His imminent death was not the end.

He told them to not be troubled.  Just believe in God and in Me, He was saying.  Trust Me.  It is going to get rough, but stay in the ship.  After the crucifixion, I will rise again after three days and three nights.  I’m going to prepare a place for you, and I will come back for you so that you can be where I am.  Anyway, you already know the way to that place where I’m going.

Then Thomas spoke up and said, “We don’t even know where you are going, much less the way to get there.”  Thomas was evidently thinking of a literal geographical location.

“Thomas, I am the way to get there.  I am the truth, and I am the life.  I am not only the way to get there, but I am the destination, as well.  If you realized just who and what I am, then you would know who the Father is and where He is.”

“We will be satisfied if you just show us the Father.”

“After all you have witnessed me do, don’t you realize that the Father is the only one who has done these miracles through these hands?  Look at me.  Look past the flesh, and when you see the invisible Me inside, that spiritual force that lives in my body–when you have really seen Me, you have seen the Father.  For the Father is living inside of Me, and it is He who is doing all the mighty works that you see me do” (John 14: 1-10).

He was reaffirming that the Father is Spirit, or how else can the Father be dwelling in the Son?  You cannot stuff the body of the Father into the body of the Son.  The Father, then, has to be a Spirit who dwells in His Son, which is the Spirit in a human form.

Christ’s New Commandment

Then He gives us a command in v. 11.  “Believe Me.”  Believe what?  “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.”  Believe the truth of my words that the Life is living in me, and that I am the way for you to get this Life, who is the Father.

Then He makes a promise in v. 12.  “Whoever believes me when I say that the Father is in me–that person will do what I have been doing.  He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I am going to my Father.”  He who believes the Savior’s words that it was Yahweh Himself, the great Eternal Spirit Creator, who was dwelling in Him–that believer will do the same things that the Savior did!  What an astounding promise!

This promise has to be to those people who know and the believe the truth about the Father being an ivisible Spirit residing in His body–us.   “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it that glory will come to the Father (v. 13).

What Are We to Ask?

Two questions arise that need clarification.   What exactly are we to ask?  And what does it mean to ask it in His name?  What are we to ask?  We are to ask Him to do the same things through us that He did in human form!  We are to ask for the greater works to be done by His Spirit in us–that the Father may be glorified.

The believers in Yahweh-is-the-Savior [“I, even I am the LORD (Yahweh in the original Hebrew); and beside Me there is no savior.”]–believers will do greater works than what He did 2,000 years ago in His incarnation as the Son of God.  The Father, who is that great invisible Spirit, who dwelt in the Son and did the works, the miracles, the wonderful gifts to men of healing and deliverance from demons, wants to do the same works–only on a much greater scale through a body of many sons.  And so we will do the same works by the Father, the Spirit, dwelling within us.  It is not by our might, nor by our strength, by “by my Spirit saith Yahweh” that the works will be done.

The Main Pre-requisite

So it boils down to receiving more of the Spirit, more of the Father within us.  And the main pre-requisite in receiving the Spirit is obeying the Son of God, for He gives the Spirit to those who obey Him (Acts 5: 32).  He continues speaking in v. 15, “If you love Me, you will keep my commandments.”

What had He just commanded the disciples?  He had just told them to believe Him when He said that the Father is in Him.  “Believe also in Me,” He said.  He told them to believe Him and His word as to just Who was in Him.  “Believe Me!”  That was the commandment. 

He was telling them: You believe in God and you know that He is the Father/Spirit.  This is good.  Now believe that the Father is in Me!  Believe Me!  For it is the Father speaking to you right now through my very lips! 

This is the commandment that He wanted us to obey–believe that it was Yahweh clothed behind His special veil of flesh.

After Believing This, What Comes Next?

Immediately after this order to believe that the Father is in him, He says that He will arrange for the Holy Spirit to come down to us, to “be with us forever.”  Forever.  This signifies that once a person really receives the Spirit of truth, who is the Comforter, that He will never depart from us.  He will abide with us forever!

Bottom line: We must believe that “God was manifested in the flesh”–that Immanuel was God with us, walking on this planet in a human flesh body.  The Creator is Yahweh, who is an invisible Spirit that hides Himself behind a veil of flesh.  This is exactly what He did in the man Yahshua of Nazareth.   Now He is asking us to see past the His fleshly body [which has been changed into His spiritual body anyway] and believe that the Father was in Him, residing a brief time in that mortal flesh.  He walked among the special people of His creation.  Yahweh is the Word, and He was made flesh and dwelt among us.  And He has promised that all those who believe this word about Himself will do the same things that the Savior did.  And thousands of sons doing the same works that the Savior did will the “the greater works.”

“Woe to the Pastors” Because of the Lies–Part II–(Conversations with the Seer)

“What exactly is God’s beef with the preachers and pastors?”

“In this message contained in Jeremiah 23, Yahweh is saying, You have scattered my people by feeding them lies, but ‘I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them into their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.  And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them’ with the truth (vs. 3-4).  It is plain that God has not forgotten the lost tribes of Israel even though the pastors don’t teach the flock this truth.  For He refers to Himself as the LORD (YHWH) God of Israel, even as the apostle Paul said, ‘God has not cast off His people whom He foreknew'” (Romans 11: 2).

I stopped him.  “Wait a minute.  Why is all this important?”

“Because we are peeking into the very mind of Christ, the Anointed One.  The ‘fulness of the Godhead dwelt bodily’ in Him [Col. 2: 9].  So knowing what is in His mind shows us what is in the Father’s mind.  These are the very things that He is thinking about.  Yes, thinking about.  Do we want the mind of Christ?  We are admonished to put it on, to think like He thinks, to be perfect like Him.”

“You mean God actually sits around and thinks about things?”

“Exactly,” the Seer said.  “He thinks about regathering His chosen people Israel, the 12 tribes.  And today’s preachers are not teaching this regathering, because they are not thinking about it.  For they have not believed this truth.  After all, He said, ‘My thoughts are not your thoughts'” [Isa. 55: 8].

“I was taught that we were Gentiles, one of the heathen nations.”

“That is a perfect example of how the pastors ‘speak a vision of their own heart, and not of the mouth of Yahweh’ [v. 16].  Today’s pastors tell their flocks that ‘you shall have peace and no evil shall come upon you’ [v. 17].  They tell their flocks, Hey, no sweat.  The Rapture is coming.  You will escape the Great Tribulation.  ‘No evil shall come upon you.’  You will be taken out of the earth supernaturally.  They keep repeating this erroneous dream some woman had in the 1800’s.  Just tell them what they want to hear.  The bigger and more extravagant the lie, the more the people will believe it.  But don’t tell them the truth–that ‘the righteous will scarcely be saved’ from the tribulation coming–that the only reason that the very earth we sit on today is spared from total destruction is because of His elect chosen ones being in the line of fire.  ‘And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s  sake, those days shall be shortened'” [Matt. 24: 22].

“So the only reason that the earth is spared from total annihilation is because God doesn’t want to kill His chosen elect along with the others?”

“That’s right, and that means that true followers of His are on the earth–in harm’s way.  These are His elect, the chosen ones, the sons and daughters of God.”

“Why don’t the preachers warn the people of the hard times coming?” I asked.

“The preachers don’t tell them these truths because they don’t believe it themselves, and if they are leaning to accepting this truth, they do not share it, for they know that they would be kicked out and lose their jobs and livelihood being the hirelings that they are.”

“The pastors teach that the modern day Jewish people fulfill all this that you are saying.”

“Don’t be deceived into believing that.  About 85% of todays Jewish people are converts to Judaism.  Most are the offspring of the Khazars whose kingdom converted to Judaism in the 8th Century AD [ http://www.1911encyclopedia.org/Khazars ].”

“What difference does that make?”

“The difference to God is that He promised Abraham that to his seed He would give the land in and around Jerusalem.  And the Khazars are from another lineage.  But they claim  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel as their forefathers.  It is not true.  And even if all modern day Jewish people were from the biblical patriarchs, that would only include just two of the 12 tribes, for the kingdom of Judah (the Jews) was made up of Judah and Benjamin.

“And you know what else angers Goid about the pastors?  They ‘think to cause my people to forget my name’ [v. 27].  They don’t tell the people–even if they have this knowledge– that ‘the LORD’ is a title that the translators used instead of God’s Hebrew name YHWH, pronounced Yahweh, or very close to that [ http://www.1911encyclopedia.org/index.php?q=Yahweh&title=LoveToKnow_1911%3ASearch&site=1911 ]. That’s the thing to really watch out for.  Don’t mess with God’s name, and definitely don’t deny it–whatever you do.”

That closed that session with the Seer.  These things would take time to soak in, for they were so different, so opposite of what the world was teaching.

Yahweh’s Last Day Jewels–His Special Treasure

In these last days, God has a special treasure hidden in the earth.  It is not composed of diamonds, rubies, silver, or gold.  His special treasure are His jewels, but they are a special group of people who He is most keenly aware of in their walk on this earth.  Yahweh takes special notice of them.  And so, we must ask, Just who are these people?  What characteristics distinguish them from other human beings?

First, they fear Him.  They are in awe of Him, His power, and His plan.  They know who He really is and what He has done.  They are stupefied when they consider the astonishing array of His heavens and His earth.

Secondly, they will speak often to each other.  They will eventually find each other, and when they do, they will “click.”  They will have His Spirit in common and a mutual purpose in their walk on earth–one that will match God’s eternal purpose of sonship.

And then God will hearken to their speech, and He will remember them.  To be one that He remembers!  What an honor!  When they are in awe of Him, He not only takes notice, but He has His angels make a “book of remembrance.”  He has His angels write down our names in a book of remembrance!  And He does this for those that speak often about Him, fear Him, and think upon His name. 

What were they speaking one to another about?  We know that whatever we think about, we speak about.  These special chosen people of God were speaking to each other about His name.  Then they that feared the LORD (Yahweh) spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name (Malachi 3: 16).  Thy thought and spoke about His name Yahweh.

Through Isaiah God spoke, “I am the LORD: that is my name” (42: 8).  And we know that “the LORD” is the title that the translators used in place of the Hebrew name “YHWH,” pronounced “Yahweh.”  So, rewritten, the Spirit says through Isaiah, “I am Yahweh: that is my name.” 

All this moves God.  How can we, little old us, ever touch God’s heart that He would ever take notice of us?  By being in awe of Him, thinking upon His name, and speaking about Him using His name.  We need to think on His name–ponder it, peruse it, explore it, meditate on it, and understand the message contained in His name Yahshua: Yahweh is the Savior.

And what is the outcome for those who do this?  God will remember them, saying, “They shall be mine…in that day when I make up my jewels [Hebrew–special treasure]; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him” (v. 17).  Spare them from what?  He will spare them from the time of punishment  that is coming upon this earth.

For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up…But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings.  (Mal 4: 1-2).  His name is important.       Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Coming to Grips with the Sovereignty of God

To fully understand the vision of the immortal sons and daughters of God, one must come to grips with God’s sovereignty.  God is totally in control.  He is sovereign.  He rules.  He is in complete charge of every-thing that is happening in our respective lives.  He is the Supreme Authority in everything that is happening to any and everyone here on earth.  And He does as He pleases without our permission.

God is in complete control of everything that is taking place in and through the governments of man here on earth.  He is ruling as I write this and as you read this.  Nothing is happening at this instant here on earth that He is not aware of and that He has not ordained and pre-determined to happen.

He is in total charge of the powers that be here on earth.  “The powers that be are ordained by God.”   He has provided for their rise to power and has helped them to accumulate wealth and influence.  Everything that is happening at this instant, or that ever has happened, is a result of God’s sovereign desire and control.

The old hymn goes, “Thou art the Potter, I am the clay…Have thine own way…” We sing it, but what His awesome sovereignty entails escapes our little finite minds.  Our Creator is the Divine Potter at His wheel.  He sits down, and with the earth He has created, He fashions containers from clay, vessels to be used at His convenience and His discretion.  He is in charge of making the vessels   and  pots.   He  molds  and  shapes  these  human beings in accordance with His own desires and purposes.  They, for the most part, do not understand most of the time what He is doing, for His ways are difficult for His creation to comprehend.  He is the Potter  and is fashion-ing from the same lump some pots to be used for everyday water containers and wash pots.  And some are done with the Master’s finest touch to be beautiful and of fine design, fit for the use of being kings and queens.  And some clay vessels may never make it to the kiln for firing.  Some are shaped and then returned to the original large lump, never to be fashioned like that again.

But some people do not like the way life is treating them.  In other words, they do not like the cards that God has dealt them.  When they find out that God is the one in control and has mercy on whomever He desires to have mercy, they do not like it.   They lash out at Him and His sovereignty and say, If He made us this way, “then why does God still blame us?  For who resists his will?”  To which the apostle Paul replies, “But who are you, O man, to talk back to God?  Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, Why did you make me like this?  Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?” Romans 9:18-21, NIV.

Remember.  He is sovereign and can and does do what He wants to do with His creation.  But we humans think that we are in charge of our own lives.  No matter how insignificantly we stride upon the world stage, we think that we are formidable and of great importance.

And those humans whom He  has chosen to be kings and rulers in the world system—how high and lifted up they stand.  Take King Nebuchadnezzar as an example.  He was the famous king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire that ruled from 605-562 B.C.  His experiences with Yahweh are written down by Daniel the prophet.  Through these  experiences,  Nebuchadnezzar  learned  that  God is sovereign.

The king’s pride had puffed him up.  He was the absolute   ruler   of  an  incredibly   rich   empire.   His city Babylon was itself a wonder of the  world.  But the source of all of those earthly blessings was lost upon him.  He did not acknowledge who had enabled him to acquire untold wealth and power as the “head of gold” of the Babylonian Empire.

Nebuchadnezzar actually thought that he had on his own strength gotten all the power and riches.  “Is not this great Babylon; that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty,” he boasted one year after being warned in a dream that he would go insane and become beast-like for seven years.  This warning was “to the intent that the living may know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever he will, and sets up over it the basest of men.”  Daniel 4:17, 30.

God had given him warning in a dream and the dream came to pass.  Nebuchadnezzar was smitten with insanity for seven years.  And at the end of the seven years of living like a beast out in the courtyard, he began to sing a different tune.  “I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” Daniel 4:34-37.

Praise God by His Name YAH

The translators of the King James Bible substituted the title “the LORD” (in capital letters) for the Hebrew name of God–YHWH, pronounced Yahweh by most scholars.  Over 6,700 times did they do this–except for one instance.

The verse is found in Psalm 68: 4. “Sing unto God, sing praises to His name: extol Him who rides upon the heavens by his name YAH, and rejoice before him.”

The prophet King David of Israel, inspired by the Holy Spirit, tells us in this verse to “sing praises to His name.”  And then he tells us how to do this properly.  He gives us the exact name of God right after the commandment.  We are to extol and praise Him “by His name YAH.” 

We are to address God and use His true Hebrew name YAH or YAHWEH in our praise of Him.  In fact, the Spirit of God Himself speaking through David gives us a command.  “Sing praises to His name…extol Him by His name YAH.”  It could not be plainer in English.

But very few people know about this.  And many who hear this for the first time immediately have doubts.  They will say, “The LORD just wants us to praise Him.  He doesn’t mind us saying ‘the LORD.'”  And yet this scripture is perfectly clear.”

Why won’t people receive this?  Christ asked the question this way. “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?”  We are commanded to “praise Him by His name YAH.”  He went on to say, “You have made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.”  And, “In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men”  (Matthew 15: 3-9).

We all learned to say, “Praise the LORD” instead of “Praise YAH” because of traditions handed down to us.  And the sad irony here is that we all have literally praised YAH in Hebrew when we said, “HalleluYah.”  This Hebrew word means–you guessed it–Praise YAH!

It takes a real hunger and thirst for God to be able to be open hearted enough to say, “I was in error.  This is true and I am receiving it and walking in it no matter what the world may think or say.”  KWH

YAHWEH Is the Name of God, States the Catholic Bible

Even the Catholic New American Bible says that YAHWEH is the name of God.  Catholic biblical scholars even witness to us that YAHWEH is His name!

God is calling Moses to go down to Egypt to deliver the children of Israel.  Moses says, But when they ask me what is God’s name, what do I tell them?   And God tells him, quoting from Exodus 3: 14, “‘I am who am.’  Then He added, ‘This is what you shall tell the Israelites: I AM sent me to you.'”

The footnote in this Catholic bible for this verse reads: “I am who am: apparently this utterance is the source of the word Yahweh, the proper personal name of the God of Israel.”  There it is.  These fifty Catholic scholars who translated this version of the Bible know what God’s personal name is, and yet, the masses remain unenlightened.

And why do the vast majority of professing Christians remain in the dark about this crucial knowledge–knowledge so important that Moses made it a sticking point to make sure he knew the name of this God who was sending him?  It is because they do not “dig deep and lay their house upon the rock.”  The knowledge necessary to be a future son or daughter of God is out there.  Even the Catholics in their bible state it in plain English.  

No Excuse for Not Knowing God as “Yahweh”

And many professing Christians will be left out in the cold when Christ asks them on judgement day, ‘You say you know God.  So what is my Father’s name?  You mean you don’t even know His name?  Why didn’t you seek out knowledge that was there for you?’   And they will mutter, ‘But my pastor never preached about God’s name.’  Then Christ will no doubt just shake His head and point them to their place of shame out of His presence.  That will be a sad day.

But there is no need for that.  We all who aspire to follow Christ must do what He said to do.  “Seek and ye shall find.  Knock and the door shall be opened.  Ask and it shall be given.”  We have no excuse, and He will accept none on that day.  

Keep seeking His truth.  Keep on knocking, knocking on His door.  If you don’t have an urgency, ask Him specifically, and He will give it to you.  He loves us.  But keep asking, for He will delay His answer to you to test you to see if you are for real, for He “tries the reins and hearts.”  But don’t give up.  Cry out for the living water, for His Spirit.  But His Spirit will only come down into a dry and thirsty heart, a heart who knows its need for Him.  For He is only sent to the spiritually hungry and destitute, to the broken-hearted, to the humble.       Kenneth Wayne Hancock

“He Who Commits Sin Is a Slave to Sin”–Part II, or How to Be Free from Sin

Man comes into existence with the old nature, the old self, and he is a slave to sin and its carnal fleshly lustful desires.  God bids us to come to the cross to let that old sinful spirit within us die a sacrificial death with the Savior.  This is our repentance from sin and the washing of regeneration in which our old sinful self dies and we are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb and given a new spirit from the heart of God.

Then we will desire to come to the light so that the world will know that the good clean deeds we do now are actions derived from His spirit within us.  We will know that He is the one actually doing this miracle of change within us.  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that does truth comes to the light that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God (John 3: 19-21).

Condemnation Comes by Not Believing in His Name

The truth is that God has provided a way for man to change his ways, and that way is Jesus (Yahshua), the Son of God.  When one persists in living in the darkness of sin, then that person is “condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

A person is condemned because he hasn’t believed in His name?  Yes, for they have not believed in the meaning of His name.  And His Hebrew name Yahshua means “Yah, the Self-Existent One, is the Savior.”  His name says it all in the Hebrew.

How He Saves

He saves His people by first coming down in human flesh and being Emmanuel, God with us.  Then He takes that Lamb to the sacrificial altar (the cross) where all of our sin was placed, and when He died on the cross, then our sin died.  When He was buried, our old nature was buried.  And when He was resurrected, then we were also raised to walk in a newness of life.

From the very beginning of God being with us in human form, it was all about Him saving us from our sins.  Yah says that He alone is the Savior many times in the prophets.  “You shall call His name Yahshua, for He shall save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1: 21).

The word about this is the truth that makes us free from sin and sinning.  He says that He will save us from our sins.  He says it by His word and His word is truth.  And this is the light that shines into the darkness.  This light is His Life that He desires to give His people.  He plans to give His Life to them.  It is His Life coming into us through faith in His resurrection in us that dispels the darkness of sin in one’s life.

When someone shrieks away from this light, they are denying His name and what it means: Yah is the Savior.  “I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no savior” (Isaiah 43: 11).  Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Taking the LORD’s Name in Vain–What Does It Really Mean?

One of the Ten Commandments reads, “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD in vain” (Exodus 20:16). We were taught that this meant to not curse out someone using the phrase “G—d— you.” That is a sound teaching for all of us to follow. However, upon further investigation, this commandment really does not mean this.

First of all, we now know that the King James translators substituted the title “the LORD” for the Hebrew name of God, YHWH, or Yahweh. So it should read, “Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh in vain.” “God” is a title and not His name.

But to “take” the name Yahweh—what does that mean? Looking up the word “take” in Strong’s Concordance, we see that it is translated from the Hebrew word nasaw, #5375, meaning “to lift up, to extol.” In too many references to mention, it is translated “to lift up,” as in, to lift up voices to heaven, to lift up hands, eyes, hearts, etc. In one place it is translated “extol.”

So, with this in mind, we can now read the commandment, “Thou shalt not lift up the name of Yahweh in vain.” Looking up the phrase “in vain” in Strong’s, we see that it means, “false, falsely.” The same Hebrew word is translated “falsely” in many passages.

The More Correct Meaning of This Commandment

Putting this knowledge into the commandment, we now can read it with true meaning: “Thou shalt not lift up and extol the name of Yahweh falsely.” His name is holy—“hallowed be thy name.” So, using His name in a false way, for false purposes, is breaking that commandment and is a sin against Him. His name is to be praised, for our very lives and salvation are coded into His name. Consequently, knowing how precious and powerful His name is, for us to invoke His name for selfish reasons would be breaking this commandment.

A blatant scriptural example of this comes to mind. Someone once said that no man’s life is absolutely worthless; it can always serve as a horrible example. Such is the case of Simon the sorcerer. Simon, who had bewitched the people into thinking that he was a “the great power of God” was witnessing the true ministry of Philip. Philip preached “the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Yahshua, the Messiah” (Acts 8:12). Simon’s followers believed Philip’s message, along with Simon himself, who was baptized, and followed Philip, “beholding the miracles and signs which were done.” The apostles in Jerusalem “heard that Samaria had received the word of God,” and they sent Peter and John, who prayed for the new believers, that they might receive the Holy Ghost. When Simon saw that the people received the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands, he offered the apostles money to buy this power. Of course, they rejected and rebuked him for his sin and folly. The point here is that he was lifting up Yah’s name in a false manner, for false pretenses and purposes, and it was sin.

I have to ask this question: Seeing that the phrase “taking the Lord’s name in vain” does not mean what we were taught growing up, how many other things about God have been erroneous? Kenneth Wayne Hancock
