Taking the Shield of Faith

If God has called you, then you will experience trials of faith. Scripture tells us not to be surprised when these seasons come, for they are an essential part of God’s work in perfecting His people. Peter wrote, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.” These trials are not evidence of God’s absence but of His refining purpose. Through them, He purifies faith, strengthens character, and conforms us more fully to the image of Christ. In these moments believers learn the necessity of taking up “the shield of faith,” God’s provision against the fiery darts of the wicked one. (1 Peter 4:12; James 1:2-4; Romans 5:3-5; Ephesians 6:16)

The victory of the Christian life is not found in the strength of our own faith, but in receiving, appropriating, and walking in the faith of the Son of God, which enables us to endure every trial and bear increasing fruit unto God. (Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 6:16; John 15:5)

First, there is only one true faith, and that faith is found in the Son of God Himself. Our old man was crucified with Christ, and through faith we have been united with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection. This is a gigantic leap of faith. Because we now live in Him, we are called to live by His faith rather than our own natural strength. Paul testified, “I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” Christ extends His faith to us, but we must receive what He freely provides. Therefore, the apostle exhorts believers, “Above all, taking the shield of faith.” The Christian life is not merely believing about Christ but living by what Christ Himself supplies. (Romans 6:1-11; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 6:16)

The faith of Christ protects the believer and enables him to “quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Yet this raises an important question: What exactly is the faith of the Son of God? Most believers have read the Scriptures concerning faith, but have we truly understood them in the depths of our hearts? Before we can effectively wield the shield of faith, we must understand the nature of the faith God has provided through His Son. (Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 6:16; Hebrews 11:6)

This question is of great importance. Many sincerely say, “I believe in Christ.” Such belief is the beginning of the Christian walk. Yet standing firm in the faith of Christ while Satan’s arrows assault the mind is another matter altogether. As we draw nearer to our Savior and seek deeper fellowship with Him, opposition often increases. God desires that His people move beyond spiritual infancy, build their house upon Christ the Rock, and bear not merely fruit, but “more fruit” and ultimately “much fruit.” (John 15:2, 5, 8; Matthew 7:24-25; Ephesians 6:16)

Therefore, let us dig deeper into the unsearchable riches of Christ. Let us seek from the Holy Spirit a thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and hundredfold understanding of the faith of Jesus Christ. Spiritual fruitfulness is inseparably connected to spiritual understanding. As the Spirit opens our eyes to the heart and mind of Christ, we become increasingly equipped to walk in victory, maturity, and fruitfulness. (Ephesians 3:8; Mark 4:8, 20; John 16:13)

Before examining the faith of Christ in greater detail, it will help us to review some foundational truths concerning faith itself. Every aspect of our relationship with God begins, continues, and matures through faith. The just live by faith, walk by faith, and overcome by faith. If faith is so central to the Christian life, then we must understand what Scripture means when it uses that word. (Hebrews 11:6; Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 5:7)

One of the Bible’s foundational definitions is found in Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Another translation renders it, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see” (NET). Faith is a God-given certainty concerning realities that cannot yet be perceived by the natural eye. It reaches beyond the visible world and lays hold of what God has spoken because it rests confidently upon His character and His promises. (Hebrews 11:1; Romans 4:20-21; 2 Corinthians 4:18)

Conclusion We have seen that trials are a normal part of God’s refining work in the life of every believer and that victory over those trials is found not in human resolve but in the faith of Christ. The shield of faith is more than a doctrine to admire; it is a spiritual reality to be received and exercised. As believers learn to depend upon the faith supplied by the Son of God, they are enabled to withstand the attacks of the enemy, grow in spiritual maturity, and bear increasing fruit unto God. Having established that the Christian life is lived through His faith rather than our own, we are now prepared to examine more closely what the faith of the Son of God is and how it operates within the heart of the believer. The Seed‑Son: The Mystery of God’s Reproduction

Every generation asks, Who is the Son of God? But few ever ask the deeper question: What is the Son of God? Scripture speaks of Him not only as a Person but as a Seed, a Word, a Logos—containing within Himself the entire destiny of God’s purpose. To understand Christ is to understand the mystery of God’s reproduction, the mystery of election, and the mystery of the sons and daughters who will bear His image in the final harvest.

The Son of God is the Seed‑Word in whom the fullness of God and the destiny of His elect are written; and those whom the Father reveals this Seed to are the very ones through whom He will reproduce Himself, manifest His life, and finish His work on earth.

The Son as the Seed‑Word

“In the beginning was the Word.” Yahweh declares Himself the First, the Beginning, the One who calls all generations from the start. Christ likewise says He is the Alpha, the Beginning, the First. The Father is the Word, and the Word is the Logos, and the Logos is the Seed. Christ Himself interprets the parable: “The seed is the word of God.” Therefore the Seed/Word/Logos “was made flesh and dwelt among us,” and this Seed was called both the Son of God and the Son of Man. Christ is the Seed‑Son, the grain of wheat that must fall into the ground and die to bring forth much fruit. (Isaiah 41:4; John 1:1,14; Revelation 1:8; Luke 8:11; John 12:24)

The Seed Contains the Fullness of God and the Names of His Elect

Just as a tiny garden seed contains the entire destiny of the plant—from germination to harvest—so the Seed‑Son contains “all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Inside this divine Seed is written the destiny of all whom He will reproduce Himself through. The Father’s business is the reproduction of Himself, and the Son declared, “I must be about My Father’s business.” The Seed is not merely Christ’s identity; it is the blueprint of God’s entire family, the encoded life of every son and daughter who will be conformed to His image. (Colossians 2:9; Luke 2:49; Romans 8:29)

The Son Reveals Himself Only to the Elect

Who is destined to see the Living Word? Scripture answers plainly: only those to whom He chooses to reveal Himself. “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.” It is not of him who wills nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Jacob was loved; Esau was not chosen. This is not cruelty—it is the austere wisdom of God, who chooses vessels for His glory. Christ Himself prayed, “They were Yours, and You gave them to Me.” Those who receive His words, believe His sending, and keep His truth are the ones chosen to behold the Seed‑Son. (Romans 9:13–16; John 17:6–10)

The Elect Are Given to the Son for Reproduction and Warfare

Because we are given to Christ, we are not our own. We were bought with a price—the ransom of His own life. The Father gave Him souls who would follow Him into the hundredfold harvest, souls who would not follow a stranger’s voice. These chosen ones are enlisted into Yahweh’s spiritual army. The Old Testament battles, tribes, and patriarchs serve as types and shadows of the warfare required to defeat Satan today. The New Testament saints are like knights conquering strongholds, answering the call of the Father’s army. If God is for us, who can be against us? (1 Corinthians 6:20; Matthew 13:23; John 10:4–5; Romans 8:31; Hebrews 11)

The Seed‑Son Reproduces Himself Through His Body

In Christ we are part of the Seed‑Son. He is sowing His people across the earth. Some say the Genesis Seed has already been harvested in Christ, but Scripture shows the harvest is not yet complete. Christ is the Seed planted at His death and raised at His resurrection; His body is the field in which He multiplies Himself. Therefore, we must do what Christ is doing: believe on Him whom the Father has sent, finish His work, and bear witness to the truth of God’s reproduction. When the Seed germinates in us, resurrection power will manifest through signs and wonders. And it all begins with wisdom and knowledge—the first gifts of the Spirit—given to equip us for His purpose. (John 6:29; John 4:34; Matthew 13:38; John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:8)

Conclusion The Son of God is the Seed‑Word—the divine Logos containing the fullness of God and the destiny of His elect. Those whom the Father chooses to reveal this Seed to are the ones given to Christ for reproduction, transformation, and spiritual warfare. As the Seed germinates within His people, they become the instruments through whom God finishes His work on earth. The harvest is coming. The sons and daughters are rising. And the Seed‑Son will multiply Himself until the Father’s purpose is complete.   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

The Signal of the Abiding Remnant

A Manifesto for the Sons and Daughters of the End of the Age

There is a voice rising in the earth. It is not denominational. It is not institutional. It is not the voice of the religious machine.

It is the voice of those who abide.

Those who have remained in the fire. Those who have not fled the furnace of affliction. Those who have refused the escape narratives of men. Those who have waited for Yahweh Himself to reveal His government.

We are living in the time of the end—not as a slogan, not as a chart, but as the atmosphere of the age. The cauldron is heating. The nations tremble. The systems of men crack. The idols of religion fall.

And in the midst of this fire, Yahweh is preparing a people by burning out impurities, which are the false teachings.

He is preparing, not the ninety‑fold. Not the sixty‑fold. Not the thirty‑fold.

But the hundred‑fold—the sons and daughters who have yielded everything.

These are the ones creation has been groaning for. These are the ones the apostles foresaw. These are the ones who will stand when the masses fall. These are the ones who will rise from the ashes like the phoenix—not by myth, but by resurrection fire.

They are chosen. Not by merit. Not by pedigree. Not by denominational approval. But by Yahweh’s sovereign call.

And now, in this digital wilderness, the Spirit is gathering them.

Not into a brand. Not into a movement. Not into a hierarchy. But into a remnant fellowship—a communion of abiding ones who recognize the same flame in one another.

If you feel the pull of this voice… If you sense the fire in your bones… If you have been wandering, waiting, watching… If you have felt alone in your convictions… If you have seen the end approaching with clarity others cannot bear… If you have heard Yahweh whisper in the night seasons…

Then you are one of us.

This is your signal. This is your summons. This is your recognition.

The sons and daughters are awakening. The remnant is rising. The abiding ones are finding one another. And Yahweh is preparing His government.

Come forth. Speak. Write. Reveal. Abide.

The time is short. The fire is rising. The manifestation is near. The unveiling of 100-fold followers is at hand.

We are the abiding remnant. We are the sons and daughters of the end of the age. And Yahweh is gathering us now.

Awakening the Blind Church to Christ’s Last‑Day Vision

Recovering the eye salve that reveals God’s plan to multiply Himself

The greatest tragedy of the last days is not the darkness of the world, but the blindness of God’s own people to His astonishing purpose: the multiplication of Himself in His sons and daughters. “Each seed bears its own kind” comes to mind (Gen. 1:11-25). This is the divine intention woven through Scripture yet hidden from the natural eye. And in a mystery of sovereignty, God Himself has ordained this blindness until His children return to Him in repentance and spiritual sight.

Paul writes, “God has given them the spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear” (Romans 11:8). This condition is not merely ancient Israel’s; it is the condition of the church at the “time of the end.” We are living in the final church age—the Laodicean era, and the church has a spiritual sickness that Christ exposes with piercing clarity.

Christ says of His people, “You do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17). Yet His rebuke is not condemnation but invitation. He counsels us to receive from Him “gold tried in the fire,” the purified faith that reflects His nature; “white raiment,” the righteousness that clothes the saints; and “eye salve,” the anointing of truth that restores spiritual sight (Revelation 3:18).

Christ’s Rebuke, His Counsel, and the Throne‑room Promise to Overcomers

See what? See what He sees. See His vision for the earth. See how each of us dovetails into His plan, faithfully fulfilling our appointed part. The eye salve is truth—truth that removes the fog of false doctrine and reveals His prophetic ambition for His elect. Those who endure His rebuke and chastening are those who anoint their eyes with this truth (Revelation 3:19).

Therefore, Christ commands, “Be zealous therefore, and repent.” Those who obey receive a promise so staggering that it strains the imagination. In this age, it is not we knocking on His door—it is Christ knocking on ours: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock…” (Revelation 3:20). To those who open, He grants intimate fellowship and unimaginable authority.

To the overcomers He declares, “To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with My Father in His throne” (Revelation 3:21). If you believe that this promise includes you, then you must prove it out–one way or another–by studying Revelation 3:14–22 with opened eyes and a yielded heart.

Christ concludes with the solemn refrain, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 3:22). His vision—His plan—is written plainly in Scripture, yet it remains a closed book to many (Isaiah 29:10–12). We sense that He is speaking of wonders, but finite minds struggle to grasp infinite purpose.

Paul reminds us that “the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong” (Ecclesiastes 9:11), and “it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy” (Romans 9:16). The winners are those to whom God grants favor—those He chooses to give ears that hear.

This is why Christ repeatedly said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear” (Matthew 11:15). The Spirit is speaking to His body, but only the elect—those chosen and called—possess ears capable of receiving the message.

These elect are the ones through whom God will reproduce Himself. They are His first fruits (James 1:18; Revelation 14:4), the first in these end time days in whom God will fully manifest His nature. Their destiny is royal: to become kings in God’s Kingdom, which Christ will establish upon the earth (Revelation 5:10).

This is the high calling of God’s elect. This is the multiplication of God. This is the vision Christ is unveiling to those with opened eyes. The Manifestation of the Sons of God–What the World Needs Now

This world has one major need right now at the beginning of the 21st Century.  The world doesn’t need another politician telling the people what they want to hear.  The world doesn’t need a steady robust economy to help it through the hard times that have been prophesied upon it.  No.  The world needs the sons of God to arrive on the scene.  They must come forth for these last days.

The whole creation, the apostle Paul wrote, (whether it knows it or not), is anxiously awaiting the sons of God to come upon the world stage.  For the sons of God will have something that all mortals walking the face of the earth must have.  They will have the key that will set the whole creation free from the chains of a certain physical death.  These children of the Most High are God’s elect, His sons made in His image, and they are what this world needs.  They are the ones who will have cut through all of the deception and vice in this world system.  They alone will see the Spirit and walk in the Spirit and be filled with the Spirit of the living Yahweh.  They will build the old waste places and build the spiritual walls to the heavenly city.

Why the World Needs the Sons of God

The creation has purposely been subjected to mortality by its Creator God. The impending gloom of a certain death is no accident or aberration of God’s  original  plan.  It  has  been  His  will  all  along  for  death  to  come to all living.  And then, a few mortals will be brought by Him to an awareness of the abiding power of His spiritual presence and will become His actual spiritual children. He will change them and will engulf them with immortality one day soon.   And it is through them that the whole creation will finally come to know this glorious liberty from a certain physical death. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.  For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. Romans 8:19-21, NIV. 

     Every living thing on this planet will die; the whole creation will decay and go back to dust.  And we, this earthly creation, are “in bondage of corruption,” as it says in the King James Version.

The word “corruption” is translated from the Greek word phthora, #5356 in Strong’s.  It means “decay.”  Its root comes from #5351 phthio, to waste, shrivel, or wither.  We, the creation, are bound to become decaying matter someday.  And all of us, be we religious or not, are groaning under the impending physical doom that awaits us.

All of us have a built in desire to live forever.  Every ancient culture, without exception, was concerned with this impending gloom of an early exit from life.  All the ancient religions were concerned about how to secure immortality  for  the  mortal.   And  so  it  is  with religions today.  Man keeps on waiting, waiting, waiting for something real that will happen in order to deliver them from a certain death.

The creation is like the wife of the Creator, who is in the  deep  pains  of childbirth.  She is struggling to deliver her  children,  the  sons  of God.  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8: 22-23, KJV.

The whole creation is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the sons of God because they are the first ones who will be released from mortality’s chains.  They will be the first ones who will not have to taste death.  And then after they are made known, the creation can look forward to its redemption.  That is how important the sons of God are.  When they are adopted or placed as sons, then a new era begins—an era where immortals will stride the earth, showing forth God’s way.

We Who Have Some Truth Also Desperately Need the Sons of God

Just look around us.  What do we see in every corner?  We see lurid trash in political high places, filthy-minded  movies and TV.  There is no shame to the world system.  And it is not getting any better.  So we try to lock in on the word of God.  We endeavor to glimpse a truth here, a truth there.  Some of us are trying to lead a holy life, but we “see through a glass darkly.”  We know, or should know that we are not walking in all truth.  For if we were, we would be bearing the same spiritual fruit as the prophets and apostles of God.  And we can’t seem to get in agreement and one accord with other sincere followers of Christ.

As  a  large  body  of  people,  we  can’t  see  eye  to   eye enough to get together.  Divisions abound.  We, if we are blessed, have a place to meet with a few other people who share some of our own beliefs, but something is dras-tically missing.  The unity of the Spirit is only a dream, for one group does not see eye to eye with another.  We are to be in one mind and one accord, and yet, who is to say just what that one mind is?  Who has the authority to say for sure anything?  Who has a sure word? There are several thousand “Christian” denominations, and they are growing exponentially daily.  There is probably a different concept of God and His plan for every one of His professing followers.

And it appears that the enemy is gaining ground, and we, the body of Christ, because of our disagreements and lack of unity, are seemingly losing ground as far as any “great move of truth” is concerned.

So what is the answer to this dilemma?  It is as if Yahweh Himself is needed to come down and just flat appear to His select few, whoever they are!  That would clear up the dim vision of those He has chosen.  They would definitely “get on the same page” after that shared glorious experience.  In the light of His own countenance and glow filling the room each would be in, He would straighten out off-concepts, purge out old leaven, old hypocrisies, and false concepts of Himself.  There would be no self-delusion if the King Himself came down to a handful!

Then a fire would well up from out of their bones!  Then they would cry to His people in His stead.  They would be His voice with his word welling up and out as springs gush out making rivers where dry land once was.

That is what we all need.  We need a sure word.  We need the Captain of our faith Himself to get a cadre of His brothers to catch on fire and, in turn, ignite the world.  We need a group of people baptized with the Spirit and with fire.   We need them!   We groan within ourselves, longing for someone to stand in the gap between God and the world.

That is the only thing that will ever turn this world upside down—if the people of the world were ready and knew they had a need for God in human form, had a need for the sons of the living God.

This whole creation is crying and groaning looking for someone sincere and true to believe in.  The heroes are gone; the people run to their idols of music and movies.  Those are their gods—gods who cannot see or hear them and their longings and needs, for their gods can see no one but themselves.  The whole creation does not know it, but they are groaning and longing for the manifestation of the sons of God.  And these sons will walk with the Lamb wherever He goes, for they shall be like Him.  These are they who will do the greater works that the Master spoke of.

It All Hinges on the Sons, But Do They Know Who They Are?

Yes, the manifestation of the sons of God is of extreme importance in God’s plan, but do they know who they are?  Do they realize their calling that He has placed on them?   Do  they  know  that  He  knew  them  long  before their earthly sojourn began?  Do they at present realize that  He  has  already  given  them  a glorious destiny—a destiny that has them justified from sin, set apart for this special work, and also glorified from heaven?  Does God’s elect, His chosen ones, know these things?

Have they called on His name and restored their heart back to Him?  But if they haven’t believed on Him, then how are they to call on Him?  And how can they believe on this God if they have never heard Him, never heard His Spirit, never heard Him who is the Word?  They are going to have to hear Him being spoken out of the mouth of another son in order to believe on Him.  And how shall these prospective sons hear unless there be a preacher?  And who is really going to be effective as a preacher?  The world is full of preachers.  Anyone who thinks they have heard from God calls himself a preacher.  The future sons will be reached by those who proclaim the truth.  And these proclaimers will be sent.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved.  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

The Cross Experience Comes Before the Abiding

The Spirit of truth does not dwell where sin still reigns

Sin must die on the cross with Christ before the Spirit of truth will dwell and abide in us. Yet sin is one of the most sensitive subjects—guilt, desperation, shame, and fear often accompany it. Few understand its scriptural definition: “Sin is the transgression of the law” (1 John 3:4). Which law? The Ten Commandments. Everyone has broken this law, yet Scripture says it “is not meant for a righteous person, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful” (1 Tim. 1:9).

Breaking the Ten Commandments is sin. Sin is not merely shuffling one’s feet on a sawdust floor or failing to attend a Sunday service. The law consists of ten commandments, and “He added no more” (Deut. 5:22). Many born‑again Christians call faults sin, and this frustrates their walk. Impatience, irritability, or personal shortcomings are faults—things we are growing through—but they are not violations of the Ten Commandments. Sin is a heart condition. Righteousness is a heart condition as well.

We are delivered from the old sinful nature by being crucified with Christ, our sacrificial Lamb. When He died, our old nature died with Him.

The Cross Removes Sin’s Power

Believers must be able to explain salvation from sin as Paul taught: “Our old man is crucified with Christ, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin” (Rom. 6:6–7). Christ took all our sins upon Himself, and when He died, our old sinful selves died, were buried, and were raised with Him into newness of life. By believing in Christ’s cross experience, our own cross experience becomes real.

Why do so few teachers explain this? Either they do not know the apostle’s teachings, or they do not believe them. Yet believing them is how we are translated from darkness into light (Rom. 6:6–12).

A new heart must be received before deeper things can grow within. Christ spoke of sin and repentance repeatedly. Conviction of sin is universal. Concerning the Comforter, He said, “When the Spirit of truth is come, He will reprove [convict] the world of sin…” (John 16:8).

He also said, “If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak [excuse] for their sin” (John 15:22). His words removed every excuse. People must be confronted with their sin so they can recognize guilt and repent. Now we are to be like Him and speak of sin to the people. Christ promises, “The Spirit of truth… shall be in you” (John 14:17).

Throughout John 15 and 16, He warns that the world will hate and persecute His followers. Why? Because He commands us to let our light shine and reprove the world of sin. Man’s old nature does not want its darkness exposed by the light now in us.

Conclusion: The Cross Opens the Way to Abiding

The thesis is simple: the Abiding of the Spirit within us cannot begin until the Cross has done its work. Yahweh’s abiding presence is reserved for hearts cleansed of transgression and freed from the old nature. The Spirit of truth does not dwell where sin still reigns. But once the Cross destroys the “body of sin,” the believer becomes a vessel capable of receiving the abiding presence of Yahweh.

The Abiding is not an isolated spiritual experience; it is the fruit of crucifixion with Christ. When sin is removed, the Spirit enters. When the old nature dies, the new life begins. When the Cross is believed, the Abiding becomes possible. Thus, the Cross experience is not merely preparation, it is the doorway into the abiding life. The Two Witnesses of Yahshua

Heaven’s Testimony and Earth’s Testimony in the Believer

There are passages of Scripture that do not merely inform; they unveil. They open like a door into the architecture of divine revelation. I John 5:7–8 is such a passage. In two brief verses, the apostle John presents a pattern of testimony—one in heaven and one on earth—each bearing witness to the identity and work of Yahshua the Messiah. These two testimonies are not parallel lines running independently of one another. They are two halves of a single revelation, converging in the life of every true believer.

The text reads:

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” (1 John 5:7–8)

John is not offering a doctrinal aside. He is unveiling the structure of how God reveals Himself and how that revelation enters, transforms, and bears fruit within the believer. When this heavenly and earthly testimony is placed beside the teachings of Yahshua in the Gospel of John—His Name, His Spirit, and the abiding life—the pattern becomes unmistakable. The two witnesses form one unified testimony of Yahweh’s salvation.

Heaven’s Witness: The Revelation of Who Yahshua Is

John begins with the heavenly witness: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. These three bear record in heaven, and “these three are one.” Heaven’s testimony concerns identity. It reveals who Yahshua truly is.

The Father is the invisible, eternal Spirit—the One whom no man hath seen at any time. The Word is Yahweh expressed, Yahweh made visible, Yahweh speaking Himself into flesh. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth proceeding from the Father, the same Spirit who overshadowed Mary, the same Spirit who descended upon Yahshua at the Jordan, the same Spirit who raised Him from the dead.

These three are one. This is heaven’s declaration: Yahshua is Yahweh revealed.

This is why His Name is not incidental. The Name Yahshua means “Yahweh is the Savior.” To believe in His Name is to believe the heavenly witness—that the Father was in the Son, reconciling the world unto Himself. Condemnation, John says, comes upon those who “believe not in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18). The Name itself carries the message of who He is. Heaven testifies that Yahweh has come in the flesh, and the Name Yahshua is the banner of that revelation.

Earth’s Witness: The Revelation of What Yahshua Does in Us

John then turns to the earthly witness: the Spirit, the water, and the blood. These three “agree in one.” Earth’s testimony concerns experience. It reveals what Yahshua accomplishes within the believer.

The first earthly witness is the Spirit. This is the same Spirit the Father sends in the Son’s Name (John 14:26). The Spirit enters those who believe the heavenly testimony. He is the inward confirmation that Yahshua is Yahweh. He is the Comforter, the Teacher, the One who brings all things to remembrance. He is the abiding presence of God within the believer.

The second earthly witness is the water. Yahshua said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3). The water represents the cleansing, sanctifying, pruning work of the Word. It is the washing that prepares the branch to bear fruit. It is the continual purification that accompanies abiding.

The third earthly witness is the blood. The blood is the sacrificial life of Yahshua, the life that flows into the believer. “Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you” (John 6:53). The blood is union. It is participation in His life, His death, and His resurrection. It is the life of the Vine flowing into the branch.

Together, the Spirit, the water, and the blood testify that Yahweh now dwells in His people. Earth’s witness is the manifestation of heaven’s truth within human vessels.

The Convergence of the Two Witnesses in the Believer

Heaven declares who Yahshua is. Earth declares what Yahshua does. Heaven’s witness—Father, Word, Spirit—reveals the identity of the Savior. Earth’s witness—Spirit, water, blood—reveals the indwelling of that Savior.

The believer stands at the intersection of these two testimonies. To believe the Name Yahshua is to receive the heavenly witness. To receive the Spirit is to receive the earthly witness. To abide in Him is to experience the agreement of water and blood. To bear fruit is to manifest the life of Yahweh within.

This is why Yahshua said: “He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit.” (John 15:5) Fruit is not human achievement. It is the earthly witness of the heavenly truth. It is the visible evidence that the Spirit, the water, and the blood are at work within the believer. It is the manifestation of Yahweh’s life in a human soul.

The Unified Testimony: Yahweh Revealed and Yahweh Indwelling

When the heavenly witness is believed, the earthly witness begins its work. The Name reveals Yahweh as Savior. The Spirit enters to confirm that Name. The water cleanses the branch. The blood supplies the life. The abiding produces fruit.

This is the agreement of the two witnesses. This is the testimony God has placed in the believer. This is the life of Yahshua made manifest in His people.

Heaven testifies to His identity. Earth testifies to His indwelling. Together they declare one truth:Yahweh has come, Yahweh abides, and Yahweh bears fruit in those who believe His Name.

Abide in Me: The Spirit Sent in the Name “Yahshua”

The Name, the Spirit, and the Fruit: Three Threads Woven Into One Revelation

There are seasons when the Spirit lays scattered truths before us, not as finished doctrines but as threads waiting to be woven. These notes, carried in my journal since 2003, have ripened into a single vision. Three truths appear again and again: the Name Yahshua, the abiding of His Spirit, and the bearing of spiritual fruit. At first, they seem like separate teachings, but they are in fact one revelation unfolding in three movements.

Believing the message contained in the Name Yahshua brings the Spirit into us.

The Spirit’s indwelling enables us to abide in the Spirit.

The abiding produces spiritual fruit. Or more tightly: The Name reveals the Savior; the Spirit unites us to Him, and the abiding manifests His life in us.

I. The Name Yahshua — The Revelation of Who Saves

Scripture declares that a man is condemned “because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18). Condemnation is not merely unbelief in a person, but unbelief in the message contained in the Name. The Hebrew name Yahshua means “Yahweh is the Savior.”

To believe in His Name is to believe that:

  • Yahweh Himself has come in human form,
  • Yahweh was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself,
  • Yahweh took on flesh to offer that flesh as the sacrifice for sin.

Rejecting this is rejecting Yahweh-in-the-Son. Accepting it is receiving the revelation of who God truly is.

II. The Spirit Sent in His Name — The Indwelling Witness

The Master promised, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things” (John 14:26). The Spirit comes in the Name because the Spirit confirms the truth of the Name.

Believing the message inside Yahshua’s Name opens the door for the Spirit to enter. The Spirit is the inward witness that the Father was in the Son, and that the Son is in us. The Spirit brings all things to remembrance because He is the same Spirit that dwelt in Yahshua from the beginning.

This is why John writes, “He that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” The Spirit enables the doing, and the doing reveals the abiding.

III. Abiding in Him — The Union That Bears Fruit

The Master’s words are clear: “He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5).

Abiding (μένω) means to remain, dwell, continue, stay. It is the language of union.

Fruit is not the result of human effort; it is the result of divine indwelling. Christ said, “I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit… that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16).

Here the three threads meet:

  • The Name reveals who He is.
  • The Spirit enters because we believe that Name.
  • Abiding becomes possible because the Spirit dwells within.
  • Fruit appears because His life flows through us.

To ask “in His Name” is to ask according to the truth of His identity — Yahweh dwelling in the Son, now dwelling in us by the Spirit. Such asking is always answered, for it is the will of God that we bear much fruit.

IV. The Witness Within

“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself” (1 John 5:10). The witness is the Spirit. The Spirit is sent in the Name. The Name reveals Yahweh as Savior.

Thus, the believer becomes a living testimony that Yahweh has come in the flesh, that He abides in us, and that His life is now bearing fruit through us.

This is the golden cord tying the three threads together: Believing the Name brings the Spirit. The Spirit enables abiding. Abiding produces fruit. This is the will of God. This is the life of God. When Sheep Become Shepherds: The Mystery of Christ in Us

Most people assume they can recognize God when He speaks. Christ says otherwise. According to Him, only His true sheep—those born of His Spirit—can hear His voice, discern truth from deception, and follow Him into the life of the Kingdom. Everyone else, no matter how religious, remains deaf to the Shepherd standing right in front of them.

John 10 reveals that Christ’s sheep are those chosen by the Father, born of His Spirit, who enter the Kingdom through Christ the Door and become vessels through whom the Shepherd Himself continues His work.

The Sheep Who Hear the Shepherd

The Pharisees stood before Christ with His miracles blazing in their sight, yet they could not believe. The works of God were happening through the Son of God, but spiritual blindness kept them from seeing Yahweh walking among them. Christ explained the reason for their unbelief: “You believe not, because you are not of My sheep.” His sheep hear His voice; they recognize the Spirit speaking through the Son.

Christ promises these sheep eternal life, and He declares that no one can pluck them from His hand or the Father’s hand—because the Father’s hand and the Son’s hand are one. The invisible Spirit works through the visible Son. “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30).

The Parable of the Sheep and the Shepherd

John tells us that Christ spoke these things as a parable (John 10:6). A parable is a “dark saying”—a truth deliberately veiled so that only those appointed to receive it can understand. As Christ said elsewhere, “Unto them who are without, all these things are done in parables, that seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand.” The parables reveal the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 13:11). So what mystery lies hidden in this parable?

Christ’s sheep are those whom the Father has chosen and given to Him. These elect ones will not follow the voice of strangers. They will not be deceived by the false teachings of churchianity. They know the Shepherd’s voice because His Spirit lives in them.

Entering the Sheepfold: Entering the Kingdom

Christ begins the parable with a mystery: “He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold… is a thief and a robber.” The sheepfold represents the realm of God’s Kingdom. John has already told us that “except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.” Entering the sheepfold and entering the Kingdom are the same spiritual reality.

Christ then declares, “I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved.” No one enters the Kingdom except through the Door—Christ Himself.

But then comes the hidden truth most readers miss.

The Hidden Mystery: Those Who Enter Become Shepherds

Christ says, “He that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.” We usually apply this only to Christ, the Good Shepherd. But the parable reveals more. Those who enter through the Door—those born of His Spirit—are not merely sheep. They become shepherds under the authority of the Good Shepherd.

Why? Because the One who shepherds is Christ in us.

Paul declares, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” The Shepherd lives in His sons and daughters. The Spirit of the Anointed One guides them, speaks through them, and tends the flock through them. Christ is the Shepherd—through His body.

Thus the mystery unfolds: Christ the Shepherd forms a body of shepherds. His Spirit in them continues His work of tending the flock of Israel. This is the destiny of the elect: not merely to be sheep who hear, but to become vessels through whom the Shepherd Himself leads His people.     Kenneth Wayne Hancock

When Family and Friends Become the Furnace of Love

Nothing tests the reality of our conversion like the people who know us best. Their resistance becomes the very fire God uses to forge His love in us.

When our friends and family reject our newfound faith, we must not grow frustrated. Christ commands us to forgive, bless, and love them — and in doing so, His Spirit grows within us.

Christ said, “A man’s foes shall be they of his own household” (Matthew 10:36). It is often our families and closest friends who resist us the most when we begin to share the gospel. Their pushback can feel like a deep wound, especially when our hearts burn with new faith and we long for fellowship with them.

The Birth of Agape Love

But we must understand something vital: our Creator includes this resistance as part of His plan for our spiritual growth. Through these painful moments, He is cultivating agapē love in us. This is how we add love to our faith.

By faith we seek God, and by faith we receive into our spirit the love that flows from His divine nature. Agapē is described in 1 Corinthians 13 — patience, kindness, humility, endurance. These qualities are not learned in comfort. They are formed in us through suffering, especially through rejection.

Our loved ones “rub” against us. Through their unbelief they withstand us, just as Cain withstood Abel, Esau resisted Jacob, and the Pharisees opposed Christ. David faced pagan nations, but he also endured Saul and Absalom and his wives — enemies from within his own house. Without this friction, there would be little spiritual growth. Our spiritual muscles grow when we forgive.

Christ taught that our enemies would arise from our own home. Yet He also commanded us not to reject them, not to curse them, but to bless them, pray for them, and love them. They are not obstacles to our maturity — they are instruments of it.

Did not Christ say, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you” (Matthew 5:44)? And why? “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven” (v. 45). When we respond with divine love, we grow into His likeness. When we bless instead of retaliating, we mature. When we forgive instead of resent, we bear fruit. This is walking in the Spirit.

Christ gave us a new commandment: love your enemies. When someone puts us down, the old spirit of vindictiveness tries to rise. But this is the moment to exercise the divine nature within us. He has given us power to resist the old reactions that ruled us before our conversion. This is the first step in the journey of spiritual growth — knowing, doing, and being — the path toward 30‑fold, 60‑fold, and 100‑fold fruit‑bearing. This is what Christ was teaching in the parable of the Sower in Matthew 13:1-23. And it begins right where it hurts the most: forgiving those closest to us.     Kenneth Wayne Hancock
