Introduction to the Book The Unveiling of the Sons of God

The thoughts expressed in this book explore the deep things of God—things that can only be spiritually discerned. These things pertain to our perfection and how we get to that perfected state.  These deep things of God explore what He desires to do with us, His sons and daughters, after He takes us to where he wants us to be.  And all of this will be done right here on earth.

This book has been written as a tool for the future manifested sons and daughters of God. Its subject matter is of a mature spiritual nature. It is not for children who are “tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine.” This book is for those who have been called to partake of the strong meat of the word.  It is for those who are tired of “playing church” and want the real plan of God operating in their lives.

The inspired author of the book of Hebrews had much to say concerning perfection, but it was difficult to teach his readers, for they were “dull of hearing” and “slow to learn.” What he had to say was not what they thought in their own wisdom to be true. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food…Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God…Hebrews 5:12; 6:1. NKJV.

And so it is today. If the first principles of Christ’s teachings are not solid as a rock in a person’s life, the deeper things will not be understood by them. The foundation of any house must be solid, built upon the Rock.

This book is for those who have a solid foundation in the first principles of Christ’s teachings: repentance from dead works and faith toward God. It is for those who are “going on unto perfection.”

I can already hear the cries coming forth. Perfection? Did you say perfection? Wait a minute. You are talking about perfection, and I am still grappling with sin in my life? No way. No one can be perfect.

A typical response, and yet, the Savior Himself told us to “be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect.” The apostle Paul says that God’s gifts to us were the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. And they are for the “perfecting of the saints…till we all come…unto a perfect man…and no more children, tossed to and fro” (Ephesians 4:11-14).

Many sincere Christians earnestly desire to walk with their Master like this, yet they cannot even think about their own perfection while still grappling with the sin question in their lives. They will justify their circling Mt. Sinai by saying, “Nobody can be perfect. You can’t be like Jesus!” To which I will reply, “Okay, but will you let me be like Paul or Peter or John?” They are the ones that taught us that we are to go on to perfection and not be children anymore in the word.

Yet, many questions abound in many hearts concerning sin. What is sin? What do we do about it in our lives? Can we overcome it in our lives? Is it possible to have the victory over sin while still here on earth? How do these questions relate to “repentance from dead works and faith toward God”? Qualities of a Teacher of God

How does one discern who is a true teacher of God and a false teacher? First, a true teacher will reveal the eternal purpose of God, which is this: He is “bringing many sons [and daughters] unto glory.” God is reproducing Himself in a chosen group called His elect. They will share God’s vision of our perfection, which is spiritual maturity. It all starts with the conquering of sin and sinning in their life.

Repentance and Faith

God’s teachers will teach “repentance from sin and faith toward God.” These are the first teachings of the “the apostles’ doctrine.” They will expound to the “little flock” all seven of Christ’s doctrines. His teachers will explain how to receive a new heart with a new spirit from God. This new heart obeys God’s Ten Commandments. Breaking them is sin. Unlike most pastors and teachers, they will not try to keep you a sinner. They will not limit God and His power to change us fundamentally at our core. They will show us how to “follow our example” Christ, guiding them through the “cross experience.” They will explain how we die with the sin sacrifice Christ, how we are buried with Christ, and how we are raised to walk in a newness of life–with Christ’s Spirit now within (Rom. 6:1-12).

True teachers will start by telling you that you can be like Peter, James, John, and Paul. They were sinners, all too human, and they were changed by His Spirit. So much so, that many miracles were done by the Spirit through their hands. Nevertheless, there will be many doubters and gainsayers. So, I will ask them this: If you won’t let me be like Christ, is it okay if I be like His apostles? That’s a good enough walk. They healed the sick and even raised the dead. Through their hands the Spirit worked miracles.

Laying the Foundation

God’s teachers will first lay the spiritual foundation on which a Christian is built as a habitation of the Spirit. We are the spiritual temple of God, the place for the Holy Spirit to dwell and abide.

So, what is the foundation of the temple? Later, in Hebrews, the answer is outlined in plain English. “Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection [maturity], not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works [sin] and of faith toward God” (6:1). These are the first principles of Christ’s doctrine, and they make up the foundation.

Herein lies a real checklist of essential knowledge for the Christian. A God-sent teacher can explain what “repentance from dead works” means. The God-sent office of Teacher is the Holy Spirit speaking through a son or daughter of God. They will explain how the one and only faith is Christ’s faith. There is only one faith (Eph. 4:5). And we are living “by the faith of the Son of God…” (Gal. 2:20). By His faith.

The reason there are not more of God’s teachers is because people lack knowledge of God’s purpose and plan. “For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat” (Heb. 5:12). God wants us all to be His teachers. But how can we be His teachers when we do not have the foundational doctrines of Christ?

The teachings of Christ in Hebrews 6:1-2 are “the oracles of God.” Because most don’t know them, they need to be taught “the milk of the word” and not the “strong meat.” The milk, the beginning foundational teachings, helps one to get stronger and more able to digest the meat of the word. A user of the milk of the word is “unskillful in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But strong meat belongs to them of full age,” for they are able “to discern both good and evil” (5:13-14).

Teachers of God will not only lay the foundation for spiritual growth, but they will also teach us how to grow. For they understand that there are different growth levels in the body of Christ. Moreover, there are different offices of God in the body to help us reach spiritual maturity. The five offices of God are apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher.

These words about His teachers are not meant to doubt the sincerity of any teacher. It is a matter of receiving the hidden wisdom and knowledge from above and then sharing it with those whom He has called. Teaching is all about The Spirit of truth communicating through a vessel, as opposed to a person speaking things about Christ. Big difference. No matter where we stand with God, we must put on humility and learn from Christ. He is the Master and Teacher. He channels His Spirit of truth through humans that He has called into His service.

Living Inside the Spirit of God

We spend most of our lives in the Third Dimension of phones and cars and money and jobs. This is, also, the dimension of gray hair and wrinkles, which are harbingers of the earthly body’s expiration date. For that is mankind’s destiny in the 3-D life—death and decay.

This dimension of our earthly life winds up in death. The grey-haired visage in the mirror rudely reminds us of this impending demise. Most await completion of their sad tale.

However, our Creator has subjected us all to this cruel mortality in hope that we will be delivered from these-soon-to-fully-decay bodies (Romans 8:20-23). God will deliver us from this “bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”

And, so, we wait, and this waiting produces more groanings, waiting “for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” In a word, we are waiting for the resurrection. This is the great change when we are raised up and receive our new spiritual bodies (I Cor. 15:52). This happens in God’s Spiritual Dimension. It translates us from the earthy 3-D world to the spiritual world of immortality. Spiritual fathers, who know Him “from the beginning,” will rule the nations with Christ. They will have overcome all growth impediments, and will produce 100-fold fruit.

The Heavenly Dimension for Earthlings

To get ready for this great day of Christ’s return, we must understand the heavenly spiritual dimension, where nothing is impossible to those in Christ. Getting there is being, like John, “in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day.” That is the spiritual place to be, and it is where our Savior wants us. “In the Spirit…” That phrase has been so overused by thousands of preachers that it has lost its meaning. “In the Spirit” literally means “inside of the Spirit.”

Notice that John was inside of the Spirit. The word “in” is translated from the Greek word en; meaning “inside.” [Strong’s number G1722. Thayer’s lexicon: “a preposition…in the interior of some whole…” For example, in Matthew 6:5, the Pharisees were “standing in the synagogue…” They were standing inside of the synagogue.

Being in the Spirit = being inside the Spirit. “God is a Spirit.” He is invisible and omnipresent. “We live, move, and have our being in him” [inside Him]. His presence is in His heavenly spiritual dimension. This is where the miracles flow and nothing is impossible.

God has saved us and given us of his Spirit, and we are “in the spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.” We are in this great Spirit God, if we have received His Spirit into our hearts. This gives us access to our Father. Before, we did not realize that we are inside of Him, inside of the Spirit. He in us and we in Him (Romans 8:9).

Understanding this opens the gates of agape love’s living waters. “…He that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. “…That the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them” (John 17:26).

That is a wonderful oneness that waits patiently for us to believe Him, believe that we are literally inside of Him in His Heavenly Spiritual Dimension. Many call it the Kingdom of God.

Closing Thoughts

“And I will put my Spirit within you…” (Ezk. 36:27). Until we receive our new celestial bodies, we should “walk in the Spirit.” We should walk inside the Spirit (Gal. 5:16).  

In Christ, we are now spiritual beings with the capability of living in God’s spiritual dimension.

In the beginning was the Seed

In the beginning was the Seed, the Word, the Logos. And the Seed was God. And God was Yahweh. He existed in a spiritual Seed. And inside the Seed was the spiritual DNA of God Yahweh/himself. The Seed contained His thoughts, intents, and His plan.

This was at the beginning, the arche, which is the beginning of all things. This Greek word translated “beginning” does not mean the beginning of a movie or the beginning of starting college classes. No, this is the beginning before anything else was. This is at the very beginning of all things. We know this because the same exact word, arche, appears in John 1:1: “In the beginning was the Word [Logos], and the Word was God.”

The whole purpose and plan of God is written in the Seed, the Logos. And this intent and plan was all in a spiritual Seed. “In the beginning was the Word,” the Seed. This truth unlocks the doors of understanding. “And the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.”

God’s very nature of unconditional love was in the DNA of the Seed. That is who he is—unconditional love. That is the record. But that agape love laid unfulfilled and dormant until it could show and give testimony as to how the greatest Love operates. It would be a grand witness, but a witness to whom? There was no one to show how agape manifests itself.

Creating Mankind

So, inside the Seed’s spiritual DNA, was the plan to create mankind. These human beings would have His spark; they would be able to feel, respond, and react to God’s plan. He created them to be predisposed to follow the green light of His beckoning. And He would bring them into being with the purpose of becoming witnesses of His glory. However, they would have to first fall and succumb to sin, and then God would save them.

Through this process, God would show His incomparable love to both these humans and to the angelic beings in heaven. “God’s purpose in all this was to use the church [us] to display His wisdom…to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places,” thus, bringing a oneness to both of God’s families—the one in heaven and the one in earth.

The great Spirit Yahweh would send the Seed down in a word into a virgin, and she would believe, thus conceiving and bringing forth the Son of God. He would be human but would be engendered by the righteous Seed of Yahweh His Father.

Now Yahweh has His Son, and His Son would lay his earthly life down unto death, thus showing the world the greatest love. “Greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). Christ considers all who believe this testimony His friends. He has opened the prisons of death and despair. He has provided the way to redemption and glory for fallen man–if they but believe His report.

It takes faith to be assured of God’s promises to us, especially when the only tangible evidence of His testimony being true is invisible. Walking by faith is believing without seeing him in this 3-D world. It takes a heart reaching out into the heavenly spiritual dimension. That heart is the good ground that will bring forth 30-fold, 60-fold, and 100-fold fruit—fruit that will be used to edify others in his Kingdom of righteousness (Matthew 13:1-23).

Finally, in the beginning, all things did not start with a Big Bang. Everything started with the Seed. And what is the Seed? The Seed is He, the living Word/Logos, and He contains all the wisdom and knowledge that will always be. For “in the beginning was the Word.”

And “the parable is this: the seed is the word of God” (Luke 8:11). Therefore, “In the beginning was the Seed, the Logos, the word of God. Inside the very beginning of all things–before there were the heavens and the earth, there was the Seed. And that Seed was Spirit. And that Seed was the Word/Logos. And that seed was Yahweh. And that Seed “was made flesh and dwelt among us.” And that Seed fell into the ground and died as the sacrifice for our sins. He forgave us, loving us and showing us the greatest love, thus showing us what God is. He is Love. For that Seed is the word of Love. The Logos, the Word, is the logical rendering of what was, what is, and what shall be.  

[I know this is strong meat. But embrace this knowledge, for it is vital to our spiritual growth. The apostle John wrote, “I write unto you, fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning” (I John 2:13). “Fathers” are Christians who have fully matured producing fruit “one hundred-fold.” They have had mysteries of the beginning cleared up by Him (Rev. 3:14-22).

These are the overcomers of this last Laodicean church age. Those who overcome will be invited to sit with Christ on His throne! This is not an empty promise. We have a chance to be called up to the Major Leagues! This honor will only go to those who have studied and have run the race, a race of endurance that ends in His arms. He is revealing more and more of His plan and purpose. Ask Him that you may be a beacon of light guiding many into the harbor of His love.

Prisoners of the Third Dimension

Humans are prisoners of the third dimension. The first dimension, of course, is a line; it has length. The second dimension is a plane with length and width, but no height. The third dimension is a cube or box with length, width, and height. This is all by the Creator’s design.

Humans exist in this three-dimensional world. It is here that their five senses interact with 3-D stimuli. Most humans exist in their little box; they are not a box in an inanimate sense. They are sensitive and emotional beings quite capable of sensing the Spirit of their Creator. But in their old original, pre-enlightened nature, nothing cosmic, mythical, or mystical happens. They are a 3-D body bouncing off stimuli like a pinball. They are entrapped, seemingly the butt of a big cosmic joke.

But their Creator is good, and He allows slips of light to shine into their cube. Perhaps as a little child they have had a whiff or two of the heavenly spiritual dimension, which is a clue that there is something more out there than what meets the eye. They have had epiphanies and reveries. They are like a toddler’s state of wonder seeing a daisy provide a landing zone for a honeybee. But the wonder evaporates, and then humans are right back into prison life again.

And so, they receive bits of light, and then they realize that they need to get out from behind the walls that encase them. And so, the prisoners spend their limited time on earth trying to escape the 3-D world. Some use mind altering chemicals to help them crash through the 3-D walls of their existence. They abuse drugs and alcohol to alleviate the pain of not knowing what’s causing the endless exasperation and frustration. The cult of self permeates the minds of the prisoners. To no avail. The thinkers and writers try to figure it all out, but eventually they come to the same brick wall.

Those that continue to dwell in their 3-D prisons are subject to a life of fear, torment, unhappiness, and anxiety. They will remain in their private cell, alone with their own thoughts. As they try to escape, they hear the oppressive whine of their friends and loved ones who try to convince them that they are on the wrong path and thereby have become their enemies. Christ said, “Your foes are they of your own household.” Why? Their friends and family will try very sincerely to keep them sealed in their 3-D existence, a place where you cannot taste the Spirit of God, which is the Heavenly Spiritual Dimension.

To escape their 3-D box, some people eat, and some diet; some worship music, and some venerate movies and books. Some chase women; some chase men. Some sell out for making money; some renounce it all and become monks. Some embrace hedonism; some become ascetics. All are trying to escape their personal prisons. Most give up and never find the narrow gate that leads them into God’s Spiritual Dimension. Try as they will, they just can’t escape their box/cube.

Many have given up the search for freedom and have resigned themselves to their 3-D existence. They do not believe anymore that a Heavenly Spiritual Dimension (HSD) exists. They are spiritually dead, walking around in hopelessness. Christ told us to “let the dead bury the dead.” Pretty grim without Him.

But God has a better future for His offspring. He has reserved for us a seat at His round table in the heart of His Heavenly Spiritual Dimension. He calls it the Kingdom of God. We enter through a narrow gate into true freedom. For Christ has entered our hearts as we have entered His heart. And now, He has sent us to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound…” (Isa. 61:1).

Eating Christ’s Flesh—Pre-requisite to the Abiding

Eating Christ’s flesh? Uh, that is some heavy stuff, Wayneman. Especially when you use the verb “eat.” That word triggers my mouth into getting involved with ingesting food. But eating Christ’s flesh? And drinking His blood? Really? How are we supposed to do that?

Well, Christ does say, “Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you” (John 6:53). It is this everlasting life that defines Christ’s abiding in us. He promised that He would abide and dwell in us if we ate His flesh and drank His blood.

Some people today will react to this statement the way many did 2,000 years ago. It was this very teaching that separated the sheep from the goats. “From that time many of his disciples went back and walked no more with Him” (6:66). How serious was this situation? After witnessing many miracles and just being with Him, they could not handle the eating of His flesh and the drinking of His blood. They thought that He had gone too far with His mysterious sayings.

What was their problem? Christ said that it was their unbelief (6:64). But unbelief of what exactly? It was unbelief in anything that their eyes could not see. All they saw was the flesh of His body. They were looking after the flesh and not after the spirit. To understand this enigmatic passage, we must look on his “flesh” and “blood” after the spirit. Christ said as much: it is the spirit that quickens” (6:63). We must catch the “spirit of the thing” to understand it.

What spiritual action is taking place with His earthly body and blood? Ironically, we must look at Christ’s flesh body and blood after the spirit. The spirit makes His teachings come alive. Eating His flesh and drinking his blood are metaphors, not literal, material things to do. We must look to the spiritual applications of what His flesh and blood did on the cross.

The Flesh and the Blood—What Did They Do at the Cross?

Christ made an extremely important statement. “Except you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life in you.” Obviously, we cannot consume the flesh of His physical body cannibalistically. What then does his “flesh” signify? It is a metaphor for the final act that His physical body performed. That act was Christ laying down his physical body unto death. The eating of his flesh is us believing what the sacrifice of His body did for us all. It is believing that His death on the cross and His subsequent resurrection of that physical body, served to take our sins totally away. His flesh dying as a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world is the bread of life. It is what we are to take in/eat/and digest—spiritually.

Christ is called the Lamb of God for this very reason. All our sins were laid upon His body. Our sins were placed upon the Lamb. He was our scapegoat offering. When His flesh body died, our sins died with Him. When His blood was shed, the life of sin died that day on the cross.

“Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins” (Heb. 9:22). “He was made to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (II Cor. 5:21). He was our pure Passover Lamb, crucified, and with his crucifixion, sin died that day. All we must do is just believe it. When His flesh body died, our old sinful selves died with Him. And “he that is dead is freed from sin.” The lifeblood of our sin is drained away with Christ’s blood.

When we were baptized in water, “we were baptized into His death.” When Christ’s sacrificial flesh and blood died, our old sinful self died with Him, “that the body of sin might be destroyed.” We are free! We are new creatures in Christ (Romans 6:1-12).

When we believe what the death of His flesh body and the shedding of His blood did for us, then we will have eaten and drunk His blood. These figures of speech mean that we have taken into our hearts the love that He expressed to us. We must not corrupt the “simplicity that is in Christ” (II Cor. 11:3). Beware of those who would beguile you to follow the path of transubstantiation. God is Spirit, not material and physical. He does not live in a lifeless wafer and a sip of wine.

“O, Father, Where Art Thou?”

“O, Father, where art thou?” We have all wondered it, especially during trials of our faith. Where is our spiritual Father—really? He is not where we just think He may be. He is not where the preacher thinks He is. He is not where we hope he is. He is not where we imagine Him to be. He is not where we feel He is. No. No. The answer to this question does not come from a feeling. Feelings will let you down. So, how can we really know where He is?

“O, Father, where art Thou?” We will find the answer to this question in God’s words that have been written down. He is where He said he is. The word says that the Father is in His Son. Christ said that the Father is inside the Son. In fact, Christ commands us, “Believe me that the Father is in Me.”

The Son of God is the head of the spiritual body of Christ, which is the church. We are “members in particular” of His body. He is the head; we are His body. Because the Father dwells inside the Son, and because we are a part of the Son’s spiritual body, the Father dwells inside of us, too. That is if we have received His Spirit within our hearts.

“O, Father, where art thou?” The Father lives within the hearts of His children. We need only look in the mirror to see the Father’s dwelling place. He is in His temple—you and me. I wrote a song right after my conversion to Christ some 50 years ago called “He’s Living Here.” He is living here, deep inside, and it’s so clear this love I can’t hide because with Christ my old man is crucified…

His sweet presence can only be enjoyed when the Spirit of Truth is in our hearts. For the Father is the Spirit of Truth. If we have error within us, we are blocked from the Father. Because He is Truth. 

How Our Father Communicates with and through Us

Hearing from our Father is through words that the Spirit of Truth speaks. These words are from the Word. The words from the Word comes to us through thoughts. Our thoughts come from primarily two sources–our Father and the adversary Satan, who oversees dispensing evil thoughts and confusion into the earth (see Job 1). Remember Satan’s lies in the garden of Eden? “Has God really said that? God didn’t mean that. God just does not want you to know the best things.”

Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He accuses through negative thoughts running through our minds. Consequently, not every thought is from God. How can we discern? How can we tell which thought is from God and which is from Satan? For the answer, we must go back to the written word of God, for His thoughts will coincide with His written word. So, let’s not be waiting for audible words spoken to us by God in order to receive His words to us. We waste time doing that. No doubt that is what the five foolish virgins were doing. They did not study the written word, and they wound up with no oil in their lamps (Matt. 25:1-13). Go to the written word; these are His thoughts which outlines His plan and purpose. By studying His written words, we will have a library of His thoughts that the Spirit within can draw from. But do not go down every rabbit hole that Churchianity provides. They are in error; I didn’t say it; He did.

Christ said, The words I speak, they are spirit, and they are life. Our thoughts, no matter how lovely they sound to us, must agree with the written word of God. Dreams and visions do not always come from God. That is why we must “study to show ourselves approved unto God.” That is why we are told to “bring into captivity every thought unto obedience to Christ.” It helps to have the Teacher, the Spirit of Truth, teach us.

“O, Father, where art Thou?” His word says that the Father, the Holy Spirit, resides in the Son, of which Christ is the head, and we are the Son’s body. The Father dwells in us if we have indeed His Spirit residing within our hearts. But the Spirit will not dwell in unclean temples filled with error. It will not happen. Why? Because His word says so.

Where is the Father, the invisible Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit? I leave you with this quote. We will let the Spirit in Paul answer: “There is one body, and one Spirit…one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all” (Eph. 4:4-6). Dr. Ben Carson’s Common Sense Defense of God at CPAC

Finally.  Someone on the national stage is making sense.  Here are some of Dr. Carson’s words about God at CPAC:

“We have to resist this war on God.  People don’t want to talk about God, and ‘don’t you dare ever mention Jesus Christ!’  And this is supposed to be a country where we have freedom of religion and freedom of speech?  It is absolutely absurd.

“Let’s let everybody believe what they want to believe.  And that means, P. C. police, don’t you be coming down on the people who believe in God and who believe in Jesus.  If they want to put something out that shows their belief, they have every right to do that…

“And we have to live by godly principles of loving your fellow man, of caring about your neighbor, and developing your God given talents to the utmost so that you become valuable to the people around you–of having values and principles that guide your life.  And if we do that, we not only will become a pinnacle nation, but we will truly be one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

I wish this man was president instead of Barack Obama, who divides and conquers.  As Dr. Carson brought out, a nation divided against itself cannot stand.

Adding the Patience of God–Why Christians Must Go Through Trials

Peter tells us to add patience, which is endurance, to our faith.  This is an attribute of the Holy Spirit, a part of God’s “divine nature.”  Patience/endurance is part of God’s nature, but questions arise.   So, what has He endured?  What sufferings did He endure?  What is it about His divine nature that is patient and enduring?

We all have a good idea of what the Son of God endured.  We know painfully of His physical and mental torture on the cross.  But it is the spiritual sufferings He endured that were the worst.  Nothing is worse than to be betrayed by those you love.  The betrayal and conspiracy against Him brought much grief and pain, enduring sinners against Himself.  “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not” (John 1: 10).

But God’s sufferings go back beyond the Son’s time of anguish.  If we go back to the beginning, we begin to see that the Father Himself endured with much longsuffering the forces of the very adversary that He positioned as such.  God created and, yes, commissioned the devil to be the “accuser of the brethren.”  That was Satan’s job–to create havoc, doubt, and despair–as God ordained it.

Now some will hold me to task on this point.  So I will point us to the book of Job, the first chapter.  The sons of God are assembled in a meeting, and Satan appears with them.  God asked him what he had been doing.  Satan responded that he was just doing his job, going about his business, going to and fro in the earth.  And what business was that?  God tells us in His next breath.  “Have you considered my servant Job?”  Then Satan tells God that You won’t let me touch Him because You have blessed him and have protected him.  Then God gives Satan permission to bring on much persecution and sufferings onto Job (1: 6-12).

Inexplicable as it seems to our little finite minds, God has Satan creating sufferings for His righteous children!  God says, “I change not” and that He is “the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

So we can deduce that God has ordained a certain amount of  sufferings, tribulations, trials, and temptations for each of us [Boy, that was difficult to write down, but I told God that I would publish what He gives me from His word].

So God ordains sufferings, “for whom the LORD loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives” (Hebrews 12: 6).  There it is by two witnesses; there are many more.  But He is enduring those very sufferings that come down on us.  Remember our parents about to use the rod of correction on us saying, This hurts me more than it hurts you.

But God ordained and ordered His own sufferings to be endured down through the ages.  If we understand this about our Creator, we get into His mind a little more deeply, moving us closer to comprehending why we must suffer and why we must endure trials and tribulations–the very sufferings which bring about the adding of patience/endurance, which is a crucial part of God’s divine nature.

Betrayal–The Suffering Most Dreaded

If a person is called and chosen by God to be His son or daughter, they will suffer a crippling betrayal at the hands of someone they love or trusted.  Betrayal is the thing we most fear in human relationships.  It is a heartbreaking, senseless infliction of utmost spiritual pain that the natural thinking human being finds absolutely no use for.  Some never fully get over it.  Some are hampered from ever giving their heart to someone’s trust again.  But some go through the fiery trial stronger and purer.  Their hearts are the right stuff as God deals with them to pardon and forgive, thus molding them into His image, the image of selfless love.

God Himself went through sufferings of unrequited love.  He took as His wife a special chosen people Israel (12 tribes, true offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel).  They betrayed Him, whoring after false gods, after He had lavished His goodness upon them.

God endured with much longsuffering these things.  To be like Him, His spiritual sons and daughters must go through these sufferings, also.  It is called “suffering for righteousness sake.”

We all must grow up into Him and leave the “little children of God” behavior behind.  Little children are mostly alive for what they can receive from the Father.  We must grow up; we must spiritually mature.  If we are chosen by Him as one of His elect, we will mature as we endure the trials He has planned for us [I know; that’s a tough one].  May He bless you all with more of His presence–patience’s big payoff.   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

What Is Life All About? (Conversations with the Seer)

(Formerly in Israel, if a man went to inquire of God, he would say, “Come, let us go to the seer,” because the prophet of today used to be called a Seer.”  I Samuel 9: 9)

One time I asked the Seer, “What is life all about?  What’s really going on?  Why are we here?”

And then the Seer answered in a sweeping monologue.

First of all, there is a Creator, a Supreme Being with a plan and purpose.  Modern man will just have to get over it and accept that there is Someone higher in the food chain.  Just look around.  Things that are alive come from living things.  If anything ever lived, it owes its existence to something else that was living–of its own kind.  Every living thing reproduces itself.  Since every living thing gets its life from another living being, then an Initial living being, a Supreme Being, had to have given life to all the living.

It is only logical.  Two pieces of granite cannot reproduce.  Only the living things of creation are reproducing, and their pro-creating drive has been ignited by the Creator, the Life Giver.

But the kicker, though, is that the Creator has put in motion all this reproduction as a type or metaphor of what He is doing with Himself.  The Creator’s plan and purpose is written into the quintessential  action of every living thing–procreation.  His plan and purpose is written into nature, and it is just waiting there to be deciphered.

So what does the secret writing of both nature and the scriptures reveal as to what God is saying?  Answer:  Hey, creation, I’m reproducing Myself, too!  You didn’t think I was going to let you have all the fun of raising a family, did you?  I have a family, too.

And this is how I am going to do it.  My essence is Love.  And I desire to magnify and reproduce Love.  So, in order to reproduce the real Spirit of Love, which is Me, I will create a special being that can contain Me.

I’ll create this special creature, the human being, male and female.  And I will place within them both a desire to procreate.  I will make them capable of loving with a heart that longs for love.  And their lives will be like a play, lived out on the stage of this earth.

But this play will seem like a tragedy in the first few acts, for the human beings will have tragic flaws.   As my crowning creation, humans will be extremely complex characters.  In their inner being, they will want to do good, but their innate selfishness will thwart their intents to do that good and right thing.

Some humans will eventually come to their wit’s end.  They will do craven acts of unkindness, driven by the first nature I have given them.  Their foolish and selfish heart will drive them to cheat on their spouses, steal from their fellow humans, and tell falsehoods to further their own selfish desires.  And other sins they will do.

But some will feel horrible about their actions.  Their consciences will torture them.  They will long to do good, despite succumbing to the temptations of the old nature.  It is from these who feel the need to repent that I will choose to reproduce Myself in.  They will know that they have done wrong and will search for a place of repentance and redemption as desperately as a lost man in the desert seeks water.

And they will find forgiveness of all their past evil deeds and thoughts.  Then I will give them of My Spirit, which is their new seed beginning in the garden of their hearts.  And through this new spirit within, they will blossom in love.  And this love will be shed abroad, by them forgiving their fellow human beings–especially those who are still using them for their own selfish desires.

They will learn to bless those who hurt them and persecute them.  They will love their enemies and do good to all unenlightened human beings.  They will forgive everyone in their old Adamic past, and they will reach out and love any and all.  And they will love Me who gave them a new chance–an opportunity to become one of My children, one of My princes or princesses.

And they will walk on this earth, shining forth this spiritual light of My own reproductive perfectness.  For I will multiply Love, which is my nature, through their realization of the great deliverance I have brought them through.  They will be fountains of forgiveness, shedding forth the refreshing water of life to all so called.

And in due time, I will change these redeemed ones into my immortal offspring.  For they will be those human beings who have believed My word.  In the face of all the gainsayers, they will have persevered despite the doubts of those who persisted in pernicious ways.

And then I said, “So this is what the Bible is all about.”

“Exactly.  It is not about sanctimonious ceremonies in “castles midst the poverty” once or twice a week.  It is about Life, an abundant Life, a life that will last forever.  It is all about God sharing Himself with His creation.  And this Life is the play foreseen and written by God and revealed to a few.  It is a real play produced and directed by God.  He wrote it eons ago, and we as the principal players in this drama should submit to the Director.  The sooner we do, the sooner we will be a part of the Greatest Hit of the Ages.”     Kenneth Wayne Hancock
