The Manifested Sons of God–Overcoming the Law of Sin and Death

The scriptures speak of a special destiny for certain human beings who overcome the pitfalls of their carnal mind.  And the world is waiting breathlessly, waiting for these rare individuals to appear on the scene (1).

They are called the sons and daughters of God, for God is their spiritual Father–not in word only, but in power.  For they will have changed at their core; “old things are passed away” in their new shining life.  They will have picked up The Book and just believed it and walked in it, and they will change history.

The End of the Carnal Mind

The apostle Paul saw their day, which all signs tell us is our day–the latter days.  He saw a group of individuals who through faith would walk the way Christ walked this earth–in purity of purpose, in honor and integrity.  The way they would do this is by receiving a new spirit–God’s Spirit into their hearts.  God’s Spirit will lead and guide them.  Consequently, they will be called the true children of God, for those “who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (2).

These offspring of the Most High, who dwell on earth today, will overcome being carnally minded, which is death.  For “the wages of sin is death” (3).  Therefore, the carnal mind stems from a heart that sins.

The Old Heart

This old heart is the spiritual condition that a person is born with.  It is the core center of natural man Adam and all his earthly offspring.  This old heart is the well from which the mind draws up evil selfish thoughts by the bucket fulls.

Without a spiritual heart transplant, one will continue sinning.  Temptation arises, and like a bull led by a nose ring, the natural carnal minded man and woman succumbs to the temptation.

The Law of Sin and Death

And hereby hangs a law, as inexorable as the law of gravity.  It is called “the law of sin and death.”  It is quite simple to understand.  If you continue in sin and sinning, you will die.

But someone will say, “Well, we are all going to die eventually anyway, so what is the difference?”

Yes, “it is appointed unto man once to die.”  The first death will come for the vast majority–the death of our physical bodies (unless we are alive in Christ when He returns and we are changed).  But it is the “second death” that we need to be concerned with.  For it is the snuffing out of any memory of us and the hope of life in the next dimension–the era of the immortal ones walking on this earth.

So natural man is strapped with his old sinful nature, and try as he might, he cannot rid himself of it in his own strength.

But God has provided a way to escape this hellish condition–a way to be freed from the inevitability of this “law of sin and death” (4).

There is another Law that negates the sin and death law.  It is called “The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.”  Receiving His Spirit “makes us free from the law of sin and death” (5).

The children of God will go through the “cross experience” whereby the old heart we are born with will be surrendered up.  A spiritual death will occur as they identify their old self with Christ, who was sent “in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,” through which God “condemned sin in the flesh” (6).

And all this is done in us when we just believe it.  This spiritual state of being “right with God” is when He dwells in us and keeps His own laws in us.  When we walk in accordance with His Spirit, we do not break His Ten Commandment Law (7).

A chosen few, the future manifested sons and daughters of God, called the elect, will experience the above.  They will go deep and answer the “high calling” and make their election sure (8).

These are the sons of God, shining as lights in a dark and “crooked and perverse nation.”  Again, we must ask ourselves, Are we one of them?   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

The Sons of God–What They Are and Are Not

The sons and daughters of God are not just once a week church-pew-occupiers.  They are the offspring of the King of the Universe.  That makes them princes and princesses in the Court of the Creator.  They are not lukewarm Christians who seldom if ever study His word or pray.

They are not just the tag “Christian,” to distinguish themselves from a Muslim or Hindu.  They are “born from above.”  Their origin is from a special heavenly realm, and they know it.

They know that their lives have been touched and changed by the mighty hand of God.  They are not doubtful and fearing, but rather confident in God.  They are not “tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.”  Their soul is anchored in Him.

They live their life as if God really does see them and their actions.  For they know that their actions have their source in Him because “it is no longer [them] that lives, but Christ that lives in [them]” (1).  They are no longer merely “holding a form of godliness, but denying the power” (2).  For they know that “God has not given [them] the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (3).

They Know that God Is Leading Them

They know that all along life’s journey, God is leading them on a definite spiritual path of growth, whose end product is that they “all come to the unity of the faith…unto a perfect man..till Christ be formed in [them]” (4).

They sense that God is guiding them, though He stays hidden in the background, unobtrusive, never loud and pushy, always quietly pulling the strings of their hearts, touching them, tenderizing them, steering them into yet another way-station where they might rest from the rigors of their spiritual sojourn.

He is invisible there, helping their faith, stretching them, trying them, proving them, seeing if they are made of the right stuff needed to become a ruler in His kingdom.

They will come to realize all this.  This high calling will dawn on them, as the “day star [arises] in their hearts.”  This is when they will cease to be “babes in Christ” and begin to grow up into Him.  God’s vision for His earth will crystallize  for them and they will be changed into His image at the end of this age.      Kenneth Wayne Hancock

“The Time of the End”–The Final Act of “The Play” Adapted from the “Book of Life”

Every war waged on the battlefields of this blood-stained earth, every government’s shady dealings in back rooms with the super-rich, every sober gathering of this world’s elite as they plot out the next step to One World Government, and every humble gathering of God’s people who are concerned with the above–everything has led us to the final act in the performance of The Play that the Creator is staging.

The Final Act of The Play

The final act written by the Author of the Book of Life is soon to be finished.  It stars the Creator Himself as the protagonist, that glorious and righteous Spirit-of-Love clothed in His heavenly spiritual body.  He is known in the English speaking world as Jesus Christ, and in Hebrew His name is Yahshua [meaning “Yah Is Savior” in Hebrew].  The climax of The Play happens during this final act, which is known as the “time of the end” of this present evil world system.

In it we see the prince of darkness as the antagonist, with every advantage, who goes about deceiving the whole world and almost everyone in it.  He is an invisible spirit, “the prince of the power of the air,” who enters into the minds of humans, tempting them to do evil things.  And he has tricked all but a select few into believing him that he is the “Peace-giver” and not Christ–that he is the savior of the world.

The Leader of the One World Government

Satan will dwell fully in the antagonist, who is known by many names in scripture: the Anti-Christ, the Deceiver of the brethren, the devil, the Beast, et al.  He is the counterfeit Christ, come to save the world from itself, for in the final act, wars, famines, earthquakes, tsunamis, asteroid collisions and more shall plague the earth, according to the script of The Play, written in the Book of Life, found in the Bible.

So the whole world will “wonder after” this handsome, cosmopolitan leader of the One World Government, this New World Order.  He will be a sweet talker, with honeyed lips and candied words couched in viral smiles and will schmooze his way into the hearts of the masses.

Many have been his prototype: Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, the many Popes who still hold the old pagan title Pontifice Maximus, Napoleon, Hitler, and now those in our day who call for, or who are sympathetic with the NWO and its One Word Government.

We are living in the end time!  I knew about this some forty years ago, but then it was in the mists of the future, like looking back into the mists of the past.  It was covered up, difficult to get information on.  We called it a conspiracy, but now its actions are done in the open.  They are blatant and audacious, for they believe that because of the apathy of the masses, they will succeed.  It is stunning to see it go that way so rapidly.

The Climax

This is the setting for the climax in which Satan’s government will fall, smashed to pieces by Christ’s “stone kingdom,” the Kingdom (Government) of Heaven.

Christ will bring down this evil worldly empire in a spectacular way.  “Vengeance is mine, saith the LORD, I will repay.”  He will use his hidden army of heavenly projectiles, the asteroids, to smash into the earth, destroying the super-rich’s plans for world domination.  This is God’s secret weapon; you can read all about it in Revelation 8 and 9.

We all know now that civilizations would be ruined by just one asteroid impact.  Movies and documentaries have given us a preview of coming events written in the prophecies.

The Unveiling of God’s Sons and Daughters

These disasters will set the final scene of the final act of  The Play.  It is during these horrible happenings that God brings forth on the earth His royal treasure–His sons and daughters.  These are redeemed from among mortal man.  These at this time will be revealed to the suffering inhabitants of the world as His progeny, His handiwork, the culmination of His patience.  For they are His offspring, the results of His reproductive process–His reproducing Himself!

Unbelievable?  “With God all things are possible.”  “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”

These will be His rulers in the new government that He will set up literally in the earth in the aftermath of the destruction of the evil world system.  They are the crowning creative act of the Holy One.  They are the epitome of His eternal purpose.  And they will be the key players in the New Play that He will produce and direct in the next age.                                                                           Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Be Still, Be Patient–Waiting for God in the Telecommunication Age

Tweets, tiny phones, and instant electronic mail producing photos of friends’ faces in vibrant color–friends you’ve been longing to see and couldn’t until the seeming miracle of telecommunications in the 21st Century happens upon you.  It’s intoxicating to ride this speeding bullet we now call our life,  careening now down through time at the speed of light.

The Still Small Voice

But for many of us there’s that “still, small voice” inside that whispers to us, “Be still, and know that I am God” (1).

And we begin to realize that there comes a time when we need to take stock, when we need to get up early in the morning while the stars are still out, a cup of something hot in hand, and look out at the endless blanket of star dust thrown over us, and ponder the One who put it there.

Somebody must leave “the cares of this life” for a moment and think deeply on why we are here, on His purpose for us on the planet, and on what is actually happening on earth.

But that takes a seeking heart, a humble spirit, a hungry soul.  And He will take that heart and create a gnawing need to know the truth–the truth as to why we are here.  And since there is a Creator (just look up at those stars), He must have a specific purpose for all the human vessels that He has created.  I mean, He’s even got a specific purpose for the tiny digestive tract of a flatworm.  How much more for our existence–us whose lives He redeemed when He gave Himself for us.

No.  This is no accident–our lives here on this terrestrial globe, floating serenely as it were through the late spring air.

Waiting for God

The truth as to our destiny to be His actual immortal sons and daughters–the truth as to the evil forces hindering His plan for us–the truth about how we enter into this new walk of awareness–there’s so much to learn.

But we must stop and get off this speed-of-light train long enough to contemplate and savor the things God has for us.  For “blessed are all they that wait for Him” (2).

We have to wait for Him.  “God is light,” but He does not necessarily travel at the speed of light.  We have to wait for Him, for He will check us out to see if we are fit to be a ruler in His new government He’s bringing to earth shortly.  He will prove us and try us to see if we are of the right stuff to be His princes and princesses.  We are children of the King, aren’t we?

And this checking us out involves sufferings and trials and tribulations both in our personal lives and on a worldwide arena.  So it takes patience.

The Crux of the Matter

So the question is this: Are we one of those He calls to love Him enough to endure to the end with Him and His glorious purpose for our lives?  That’s the question we need to ponder under the stars or under the green universe of that giant oak tree, teeming with ring-necked doves and inquisitive squirrels who wonder when we are going to wake up and become what we are supposed to be.

Will we stride forth in the power of the Spirit, or will we strut our stuff, hoping our shaky little world holds up?  Are we a contender or a pretender?  A conqueror or a slave?

So this is what this website is about.  Click on a “Category” of interest to you in the right hand column and read and ponder and, yes, electronically send it to someone you love who needs these words–words that are a distillment of four decades of study and life.

And those who patiently wait for Him have the Father’s promise: “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (3).     Kenneth Wayne Hancock

The Law of Harvest–How God Reproduces Himself

The Eternal Purpose of God: He is reproducing Himself.  The laboratory that He is working in is the earth.  He has created human beings to help accomplish His purpose.  He created their bodies out of the moist clay of the earth.  All things are now in place for this reproduction experience.  But how does it work?

It works through the Law of Harvest.  “Whatever you sow, that shall you also reap.”  Therefore, God, who is the Seed (the Word, the Logos) has planted Himself in these earthen vessels called humans.

To do all this, God created a special creation Adam and his offspring, who He created in His own image.  These are to be vessels of honor, vessels that would house His Spirit, which is the Seed, the Word of God.

“Greater Love Has No Man Than This…”

One might ask, “Why does the immortal God use mortal man to reproduce Himself?”  To express the essence of His nature, which is Love, one must give up one’s life.  For “greater love has no man than this than to lay down his life for his friends.”  Sacrificing one’s life for another is the greatest love.  But the Creator, by His very immortal nature, cannot die. So then, how can God express the greatest Love, which is His essence?

The Great Creator Yahweh, of course, thought all this through.  In fact, in His plan, He scheduled a grand appearance of Himself in a mortal human body.  He chose a special person, Jesus (Yahshua) of Nazareth to house Himself in.  God, the Spirit of Love, would humbly walk among us to show us the way to be like God.  God, the Word, “was made flesh and dwelt among us.”

Christ Is the Seed That Falls into the Ground and Dies

This anointed vessel, called Christ and the Messiah, is the Seed.  He was planted in the earth three days and three nights.  And just like a seed in your garden springs forth, He arose out of the earthy grave and ascended back from where He came.

Yahweh had to come in a body that would and could die in order to show the greatest love.  Without Him giving up His human life on the cross, He could not reproduce Himself, for “except a seed fall into the ground and die, it abides alone.  But if it die, it brings forth much fruit.”

We humans, then, can avail ourselves to be used by our Maker in His reproduction process.  But first we must surrender to this purpose.  We must allow our old selfish heart and life to die on the cross with Christ, be buried with Him in revelatory truth, and then, by believing that Christ was raised from the dead, we can begin to “walk in newness of life.”

We then begin to bear much fruit.  And those who do this will become His fully manifested offspring and will rule this earth with Him during the Kingdom Age when Christ returns.  These have surrendered completely and  have Him fully grown up within them.  These are the ones who God has reproduced Himself in.  Kenneth Wayne Hancock

“My Grace Is Sufficient for Thee”–So What Is Grace?

“Grace” is one of those biblical words that have been so overused that for many, it has lost its true original meaning.  Every denomination has its own spin, but what does it really mean?

To find out we go to the apostle Paul’s writings.  We find him enduring a severe trial which has caused him great suffering.  False prophets at the church in Corinth are slandering him.  They have said that he is a false teacher, that he is taking for himself the offerings that have been collected for the poor believers in Jerusalem.  They are challenging his apostolic authority.

And so he feels that one more letter is necessary to help those there.  This second letter to them will be a vindication of his apostleship, for he knows that if they do not believe him about the Savior, then they will be the losers.

But Paul will not be caught in the trap of appearing to be bragging in a carnal manner.  He will tell them about the visions and revelations that he has had of Christ without boasting according to the flesh (2 Corinthians 12: 2-5).

The Messenger of Satan

Paul also relates to them that he realizes that God sent to him a messenger of  Satan  to  torment  or buffet him “lest he become exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations” that God had given him.  God first blesses him with wonderful visions of Him and then out of love uses Satan to keep Paul humble (v. 7).

Paul says that he asked God three times to take the evil agent out of his life, but was only told by Him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (v. 9).   The spiritual strength that I want to demonstrate through you cannot be perfected unless you are weak, according to your flesh, God was telling him.  So Paul was content with having physical hardships and weaknesses.  For he knew that then God’s power would rest on him.  “For when I am weak, then I am strong” (v. 10).

So What Is “Grace”?

But Jesus (Yahshua) had said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you.”  What is this “grace” that is our sufficiency?  “Grace” is translated from the Greek word charis, #5485 in Strong’s.  Definition: “Of manner or act, especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life, including gratitude: Ie—acceptable, benefit, favor, gift, grace(-ious), joy, liberality, pleasure, thank.

In 2 Cor 1: 15 charis is translated “benefit”—“I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit.”

Charis is also translated “favor” six times.  To Mary the angel said, “…Thou are highly favored,” or graciously accepted, or much graced.  “Thou has found favor with God” (Luke 1:28, 30).  Luke later says that the Christ “increased  in …favor with  God  and man,” still using word “charis.

The word for “gift” or “gifts” is directly from this same word and is used more than twenty times.  It is #5486, charisma.  It is used to speak of God’s gifts unto men and the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12: 1-31.

So we see that God’s grace to us is his favor to us, his goodness to us in giving us the truth.  He favors (graces) us with the truth, teaching us that “denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.”

It is through this grace that God chooses out His future sons and daughters, who are called “the elect.”  He fills them with His Spirit, and they become His witnesses in the earth for these latter days.  Theirs is a destiny preordained “before the foundation of the world.”  They will walk His walk in the earth and, thus, help bring in God’s new government.  They will do this by faith—believing this eternal purpose, having not first seen it with their natural eyes.

“Though Our Outward Man Perish”–On Becoming Older in the Kingdom of God

In the world of men, the older one becomes, the less valuable they become–especially in American culture.  For only the outward appearance is esteemed.  But in the kingdom of God, as our earthly bodies age, it ofttimes yields a needed wisdom on the inside.  And with wisdom, one finds much spiritual treasure.

A Sense of Our Own Mortality

As our earthly body begins its corruption through aging, we begin to get a sense of our own mortality.  When we were young, we never thought that one day we would expire–that one day we would have breathed our last breath of earth’s good air.  We careened through youthful roads with a reckless abandon, never contemplating the delicate balance between life and death.

And then one day, we wake up and realize that we cannot do the physical feats we did in our youth.  And if we are blessed, we will then turn to the inward spiritual country, a land prepared by the Master Surveyor, laid out for those of us who will seek that rare realm.  This great land of the heart is called “the Kingdom of God” and it “is within you.”

Feeling the Need for the Spiritual

And as we turn to go there, we begin to feel the need for the spiritual food to sustain on our journey.  We see the futility of clamoring after things for just our earthly bodies, and we begin to respect and reverence the Spirit that fathered us anc created and placed us down here on earth.

Becoming older brings wisdom, for the dreams and schemes of youth have run their race cars into a wall of disillusionment.  Survivors of the crash walk more circumspectly, more grateful for more time to now think about the eternal things of God. It takes time’s erosion of our earthly strength to help us realize that God has an eternal purpose in all our trials, temptations, and tears.

The Fisher of Men

God allows us spools of line as a fisherman does a giant, fighting fish.  And with that extra line and time, the fish flips and flashes and flaps and flails until all his dreams and schemes of his own vainglory are surrendered to the will of the Great Fisherman.

And so it is with us.  He gives us great latitude to pursue our own way of non-surrender.  As the years pass, some will work so hard to wrestle free from God, that He allows them to throw off the hook.

But a chosen few will realize that they are destined for greater things, spiritual things, “things kept secret from the foundation of the world,” and they will surrender to His will.  They will see that “though the outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”  And because of this, these few will not look at the outward appearance, which shows the mere temporary things, but they will look on the invisible, into that dimension which is eternal (II Corinthians 4: 16-18).

And thus God brings them into His ship, into His heart, giving them a new spirit and a new in life–His life.

So becoming older can mean becoming wiser.  For with age comes spiritual clarity and more reverence for the Great Fisherman.  Youth are more likely to trust in the “arm of flesh,” which never has the strength to carry us down the road to immortality.   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

The Truth About the World Depression–Who Is Doing What?

It is so complicated–understanding this terribly deep recession/depression that we all find ourselves in.  What is really happening?  Who did this mess?  And why?   And more importantly, where is it all headed, and how can we prepare?  Bob Chapman of the International Forecaster, puts it in a  nutshell for us:

“In the financial markets, whenever you have losers, you also have winners. Someone sold the losing asset to someone else, receiving full value for it before the loss was incurred, with full value often being a fraudulent and fictitious figure, calculated with mark-to-model values based on bogus assumptions and even more bogus financial ratings and appraisals.

“The winners are always the Illuminist banks, investment banks and brokerage houses, who sold bogus paper at full value, and whose executives and employees take all the profits off the table via salaries and bonuses before the losses come back to haunt them when things like SIV’s and municipal auction rate securities.

“The bailouts are intended to prevent such losses from hitting Illuminist creditors by transferring the losses to the taxpayers, whose government creates money out of thin air to fund the bailout of such losses. The resulting monopoly money will eventually result in hyperinflation, the collapse of the dollar, the loss of the reserve status of the dollar, the downgrading of US treasury bonds, and, via higher interest rates and risk re-evaluation that will become necessary to bring this profligate flow of monopoly money under control, the collapse of the bond market, the real estate market, and the hundreds of trillions in interest rate swaps.

“The thermonuclear financial meltdown cometh, so be ready with gold, silver and their related assets. What has transpired thus far is just the tip of the iceberg that will send the US Titanic down to Davy Jones Locker.”

For another lucid voice explaining how our futures have been squandered,  listen to the prescient Peter Schiff here: http://socioecohistory.wordpress.com/2009/02/07/peter-schiff-on-us-economy/

We, the sons and daughters of God, must know the truth about what is happening on the world economic stage, for this depression will inevitably lead the world into the One World Government prophesied in the book of Revelation.  “They” always start with control of the money–then they go on to the “souls of men.”   Our money will fail, as it did in Egypt, in the time of Joseph and his brothers.  Then the masses will have to play the bankers’ game to “buy, sell, or trade,” in order to survive during the Great Tribulation Period, which the church will have to go through.  KWH

God’s Faith Once Delivered to the Saints

Faith is extremely important but often misunderstood.  It is not us believing in something.  That is not the true faith of God.   No.  The true faith of God comes from Him to us, not from us about Him.  It is His belief in Himself that He gives to us.

Faith Is Not Something We Have to Muster Up

It is the “faith once delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).  Faith is a spiritual commodity from God that has been delivered to the people of God.  Who delivered it?  The Creator Yahweh did.  Faith is not something that has to be mustered up by His people.  We rather must receive it from Him.  It is something that originates from out of His nature and is given to us.  “For every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights.” That includes faith.

It is His faith that is transplanted into our hearts.  It is not something we muster up and finally believe about Him.  His faith in us is the first part of His divine nature to enter into the human heart.  But what is it exactly?  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1.

God Has Assurance in the Things that He Hopes For

“Things hoped for…”  Because we are naturally egocentric, we think that it is the things we hope for.  No.  What does God hope for?  What are the desires of His heart?  What has He purposed?   Long  before  we were ever born, He saw us in our down-trodden state of sin and misery.  He also saw us rise with Him by His Spirit to vanquish sin and death in our lives.  He believed that this was a reality—that this was substance—having not yet seen it come to pass.  He believed and so therefore spoke and said that it was so.  He believed the best about us and His plan—not having seen the evidence yet of its fruition.  We as changed individuals are evidence that the invisible Supreme Being is real.  We are His witnesses that He is God.  And if He believes in His work in us before it comes to full fruition, then we should, too.  He is our example.

His divine nature is positive, full of faith and power.  All of His promises are “yes.”  Nothing negative flows from His heart.  He is positive; His attitude is positive.  In fact, He calls those things that are not, that do not exist as yet, as though they did exist.  He said that He will be all in all eventually.  We should then, right now, begin to walk around as if He already is all in you and me.  This will take belief that “it is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me.”

He is positive, giving “life to the dead and calls that which does not exist as existing.”  This is He.  This is how He thinks.  He is positive about His capabilities.  He has absolutely no doubt about His reserves and His resolve to get done what He wants done.  And what He wants done is the multiplication, the reproduction of Himself, within His creation.  He is an invisible Spirit; He wants to see Himself in action in human form.  This is the witness that He talks about in Isaiah.  We are to be His witnesses that He is the invisible Spirit/God.  His faith believes that not only we can change, but that we will change—that we are changed!  He seeks people to worship Him in this spirit and attitude and in this truth.  He needs people to worship Him in this way—to believe the way He believes.

And it is to this faith, His faith, that we are to add several more  spiritual qualities as outlined by the apostle Peter (II Peter 1: 5-8).  These are the more advanced facets that the Holy Spirit gives to those going “unto perfection,” which is full maturity in Christ.                Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Don’t Let “The Cares of This Life” Choke Out God’s Vision of Sonship

With so many things screaming at us today–unemployment, recession, depression, the stock market collapse, mortgage crisis, layoffs, bills, family problems–no wonder it is difficult to keep the center of our thoughts on God’s plan and purpose.

Most do not know His eternal purpose, but even if they did, that knowledge would be drowned out by the “cares of this life” (Matt. 13: 22-23).  And His vision for us on earth is choked out by fears.

But His eternal purpose remains steadfast.  We must keep reminding the sheep of His pasture of their calling as His heirs–His sons and daughters. For His eternal purpose is that He is “bringing many sons unto glory.”

For if we keep His thoughts in mind, we shall never fall to the evil conspiracy that runs amok on every level of earthly existence.

You Shall Know the Truth

But our adversary, the devil, does not want us to glimpse the truth, for he knows it will make us free of the fear that is flung into every heart on this earth.  Still Christ’s own promise is this: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8: 32).

What truth is He talking about?  He said, “I am the truth.”  So let’s examine Christ (the Truth) a moment so that we can know just what truth really is.  Yes, He is the Son of God, but He promised that we, too, would be His sons and daughters.  “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name (John 1: 12).

Two points here that we must keep in mind in order to overcome the negative onslaughts that undermine us.  First, God will give power to those who receive Christ–power to become just like Him, a son and daughter of God.  Second, these will believe on His name.  Very important.  His original Hebrew name is Yahshua (like the patriarch’s English name “Joshua”).  And this name has a specific meaning–a meaning that we need to believe!

The Meaning of the Savior’s Hebrew Name

“Yahshua” means, “The Eternal Self-Existent One (YAH) is the Savior (SHUA).  The “Truth” is this:  Yahweh dwelt in and walked around in the man known as Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  And He, Yahweh, is the Savior (II Cor. 5: 19; Isa 43: 11).

They are one.  And that is exactly what Christ said.  “I and my Father (Yahweh) are one.”  The Father resided in the body of the Son.  Now we are the Son’s body, and by the Spirit’s presence, the Father now resides in us.

This is how “The Truth,” Christ, is being multiplied in a body of many people.  The apostle Paul said that we will be glorified, and that this whole earth is waiting for this very event–“the manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8: 18).

Heirs of God, Joint Heirs with Christ

The vision that we shall be His heirs in His kingdom, clothed with a new spiritual body like Christ’s–this is the great theme of Paul and the other apostles’ writings.  Some will become like Christ!  There–I said it.

So the question then becomes this:  Who of all the six billion on earth will answer this “holy calling” of sonship?  Who will “lay their hands to the plow and not look back?  Who will “sell all they have” in order to make their “calling and election sure”?  Who will tell Him, “It is I, Lord, send me”?  Who will “study to show themselves approved”?  Who will be feeding His lambs and sheep the true spiritual food when He comes back to earth to establish His government?  Who will “stand in the gap” and lay it on the line, unafraid of what man can do to them?  Who will be found worthy in the end to do the “greater works” that Christ spoke of?

The future sons and daughters of God are in the earth today.  The last question we need to answer is this: Am I going to be one of them?                 Kenneth Wayne Hancock
