Parables—Secrets Kept from the Foundation of the World

Chapter 19 of the book Yah Is Savior: The Road to Immortality

The Master, the Creator has a stupendous and glorious plan to reproduce Himself. He has had His prophets and righteous men write about it down through the ages. But He has kept it secret by speaking about it in parables. In order to comprehend His purpose, we must first understand His concept of the use of parables.

Man’s wisdom says that parables are nice little stories that make it easier for us to understand what God is teaching us—that they are down to earth little illustrations of spiritual matters. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The first thing that we must realize is that parables contain the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. They conceal the secrets of God that He has hidden since He created the heavens and the earth. We enter into an inner sanctum when we go to the parables, for they are the “dark sayings,” things that He only reveals to those who are in awe of Him. These are only for His chosen people to whom He wants to reveal His secrets unto. “For a man can receive nothing except it be given to him from heaven.”

Then the disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For to him that has will more be given (knowledge of the secrets),and he will have abundance; but from him who has not (the secrets), even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, nor do they understand…but blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.” Mt. 13:10-13, 16, RSV.

Parables are His “dark sayings.” The word “dark” is translated from the Hebrew word, chiydah, #2420 in Strong’s, meaning a “puzzle: hence a trick, conundrum, sententious maxim: dark saying (sentence, speech), hard question, proverb, riddle.” Puzzles, riddles, and conundrums are deliberately thought out by the speaker. They are purposely spoken. And so it is with His parables. All these things spake Yahshua unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Mt. 13:34-35, Psm. 78:2.

He spoke in parables so that they who were meant to comprehend would, and they who were not meant to, would not. He spoke in parables and deliberately clouded the meaning so that the mysteries of the kingdom, of his governing human flesh by His Spirit, of His plans of reproducing Himself, would only be comprehended by those to whom He had given it. He spoke in these riddles, deliberately clouding the meaning, so that only certain pre-determined chosen people that He foreknew could see His plan and ultimately respond.  KWH

Prove All Things with an Open Mind and Pure Heart, and the Spirit Will Lead Us into All Truth

Chapter 18 from the book Yah Is Savior: The Road to Immortality

We have come to a mysterious place on the road to immortality. Each step henceforth is veiled in secrecy and shrouded in mystery. God has purposely made the truth of His purpose difficult to see. In so doing He is weeding out the pretenders from the contenders.   His eternal purpose and plan of reproducing Himself is only given to a chosen few. “Few there be to find this way of truth.” From here on out the truth will be given only to those who are of an open mind and pure heart.

In fact, it is better to not come to this rarified knowledge if one is not prepared to go all the way. “For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.” II Peter 2:21.

It is only the openness to new truth that allows the Spirit to lead us into all truth. In John 16:12 the Master said, “When the Spirit of truth is come He will lead us into all truth.” If we had not been open a few short months ago to new truth—new to us, anyway—then we would not have been able to receive the present truth we now have. We would have been ossified, stratified, and hardened up like a rock in our hearts to receive something new.

There is a tendency for human beings to reject something that is new. There is a temptation when change is brought upon us to hold back and not get into it.

If new truth is not being revealed to us, then usually one of two things is happening. Either that person believes they have all the truth and therefore have no need of truth, or the Spirit of truth is not leading them into all truth at that particular juncture in their life. So the exhortation is to us all: remain open.

He said to prove all things. Not just the things we think are the truth. We also need to prove things out that we may not at first think is truth. He said to prove all things that come into our seeking. Because praying to Him and asking Him for guidance to discern if something is the truth or not will enable us to not miss some truth that comes our way. We need to ask Him to reveal this new thing, His plan to reproduce Himself, to us. He did say, “I will do a new thing in the earth.”

For instance, the sacred name of Yahweh is an old thing, but it is new to us. By staying open and trusting Him for discernment, we can prove all things that come our way, whether they be truth or falsehood.

In order to begin to take in the great and precious promises that Yahweh gave to our fathers the patriarchs, we first must realize that Yahweh wants to reproduce Himself. Reproduction cannot take place without a seed. We only have to look at the earth to understand this. John 1:1 could have read: “In the beginning was the Seed.” He is the Word, the Seed. The Master said, “Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone.” He would have been alone had He not fallen into the tomb three days and three nights. And now by doing that, He brings forth much fruit. He lays it all out in a very simple situation with “first the blade, then the ear, and after that the full corn in the ear.” Mark 4:28. KWH

The Mind of Christ–What Are His Thoughts?

We are told to “let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Yahshua)” [1].  We are then to have His thoughts, to think the way He does, to meditate on subjects that fill His mind.

So what fills His mind?  What is He thinking about right now?

We get a thumbnail sketch of His thoughts in His model prayer for us, the so-called “Lord’s Prayer.”  In it Christ mentions the Father’s name, the Kingdom of God, His will to be done in earth, the spiritual bread, forgiveness, deliverance from evil, and a need to surrender to the Father’s majesty.

These subjects in Christ’s mind are vast “that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written” [2].  So I want to address just one aspect of one of them–the Kingdom of God.

The “good news” is the “gospel of the kingdom of God” [3].  The true gospel that Christ spoke continually of is the good news that His Father’s kingdom is coming to this earth.  He is speaking of a real government that will replace all of man’s governments.  Righteousness, peace, and joy will replace crookedness, war, and misery that is plaguing the planet at this present time.  That is the good news that filled Christ’s mind.

We have been told since childhood that the gospel is something else–that it is salvation.  Salvation is important as a first step, for one cannot enter the kingdom of God, the government of God, without it.  It is, however, only the first  baby step.  God wants us to grow up and be His governors in His literal kingdom that is soon coming to fill this whole earth.  There is so much more to it than what most churches teach!

The Thousand Year Reign

Where do we think we will be during the millenial reign of Christ?  He is returning to earth to establish God’s government here.  Are we going to be with Him here, or will we be “rolling around heaven all day”?  Will His offspring be playing harps on streets of gold in some mystical place, or will we be rolling up our sleeves and doing the work of “building the old waste places” of the earth–the aftermath of the great tribulation period?

If the overcomers are to “sit with Him on His throne,” then when will that happen?  Again, Christ is  coming back here to earth to rule and reign for 1,000 years.  His throne will be here, and the overcomers will be sitting with Him on His throne [4].  To those same overcomers “will I give power over the nations” to rule over them [5].

We need to have Christ’s mind, to think like He thinks.  And He thinks big!  On a world wide scale–like a worldwide government.  His true followers will He appoint to “have authority over ten cities” as He mentions in the parable of the pounds [6].  This parable, which as all parables reveal mysteries “kept secret from the foundation of the world,” is a snapshot of what His true followers will be doing during the 1,000 year reign.  They will be rulers–kings, if you will–over geographical areas of the earth.

He did say that He was the “King of kings and the Lord of lords” [I Tim. 6: 5].  Look up “king” in the Greek and it is “leader of the people, prince, commander, lord of the land, king.”  “Lord of the land”?  What land?  The earth during the 1,000 year reign.

If you are reading this and seeing this, then “blessed are your eyes, for they see.  For many prophets and righteous men have desired to see these things and have not seen them” [8].  Why?  Because they saw the Kingdom afar off.  And it is for our time.  Oh, they will be with us in the kingdom.  In fact, we will sit at their feet and honor their faith that has been such an inspiration to us and that has helped us in our walk. They now sleep in the dust of the earth until Christ returns and resurrects them to be a part of His entourage at the beginning of the new wondrous age of peace that the Prince of peace will bring to this crooked, starved planet.

Oh, there is so much more that He wants to reveal to us, which is what He is thinking about, which is what is on His mind.

But the shame of it is this.  Many who claim to know God don’t know what His thoughts are.  I want to believe that this is the case.  For if they know about the true gospel of the kingdom and don’t share it with others for what ever reason, then–let’s just say–God will be most unpleased with them.

And so I have to ask the question: How can you “know God” and not know His thoughts, not know what is in His mind?  When you know a person, you know what they are about.  You know whats on their mind because they will speak their thoughts.

In any event, we haven’t even scratched the surface of what is the Mind of Christ, which is the Mind of the Father.  “For eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for those that love Him” [9].

These are the “unsearchable riches of Christ.”  But then, He also told us, “Seek and you shall find” the “hid treasure” in the earth, which is the Kingdom of God, which is “the mind of Christ.”  KWH

The Key to Answered Prayers–from “Conversations with the Seer”

“I don’t get why we have to pray all the time.  Pray without ceasing?  Who can do that?”  I asked the Seer.  In his teachings each week at the Mission he had been stressing the importance of prayer.

“You are right.  A man can’t do that,” he said.

I was shocked that he would concede this point so quickly.  “I know the word says that we are to be ‘praying always,’ but I’ve tried, and I just can’t do it.”

“You won’t be able to do these requests that the Father has made of us concerning prayer,  in your current way of thinking,” the Seer said.  “That is why you are perfectly correct when you say, ‘I can’t do it.  Nobody  can.'”

“Then why does God tell us to do something that’s impossible to do?”

“Ah,” the Seer said knowingly, smiling kindly at me.  “This is where the error of your thinking manifests itself.  The Master Himself said, ‘With God all things are possible.’  Also, the apostle Paul said, ‘I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.'”

“I don’t get it.  You have taught that the last piece of the armor of God in Ephesians 6 is ‘praying always.’  I just don’t see how it works.”  He could see, I am sure, my frustration, for I really had tried  to do it.

“Look.  You left out the most important part of that verse.  It says, ‘Praying always…in the Spirit.’  Christ is alive evermore and He through His Spirit is interceding for us all.  He is the High Priest, and His prayers will be answered, believe me.  But Christ is not just praying for us; He desires to pray through us.  When you  let go of the sensation that it is you that’s doing the praying and believe that it is Christ in you who is doing the praying, then you’ll get somewhere.”

“‘Christ in us, the hope of glory…'”

“For, you see, the key to praying like God wants us to pray is to believe that it is ‘no longer I that lives, but Christ that lives in me.’  How does Christ live in us?  By His Spirit that He has given us.  We must first truly believe that we have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in our hearts.  Then we must believe that it is the Spirit of Christ in us praying–not us praying in our own little strength.”

“We’ve got to get out of the way and let His Spirit in us do the praying?”

“Yes, and everything else.  Paul said, ‘I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.’

“It always goes back to faith in God,” I said.

“Always.  Faith is looking to and believing in the Invisible.  You can’t see the Holy Spirit of Christ in you, and yet, you still believe that He lives within you, and that it is no longer ‘you’ that lives in your body, the temple of God.  Let the High Priest pray through you, intercede through you.  We are to be God’s kings and priests, and this is how you do it.  But it takes faith.”

“Yes.  Lots of it,” I said.

“This solves your original frustration  about how do we ‘pray without ceasing’ and ‘praying always.’  In man’s strength, it is impossible, but the Spirit of Christ lives on, earnestly desiring to pray through another son and daughter of God, yearning for them to get the revelation that through His Spirit, they can be priests unto God in His wonderful kingdom of righteousness, which is reigning spriritually now in the hearts of God’s children, but soon will be expanded upon Christ’s return to the whole earth.  Remember: Christ will definitely get His prayers answered.  Let Him through His Spirit pray through you and you’ll have your prayers answered every time.”

“So what does Christ pray for?”

“It is pretty much summarized through His model prayer, known as the Lord’s Prayer.  But you have to strip away the old leaven associated with that prayer, for the wicked one has made it into a ritual and an incantation.  But more on this later.”  KWH [For more on what Christ prayed for, go to the “Archives” at the bottom of the left hand column under “June and July of 2008”]

Conversations With the Seer–How Do I Get Closer to God?

(Formerly in Israel, if a man went to inquire of God, he would say, “Come, let us go to the seer,” because the prophet of today used to be called a seer. I Samuel 9: 9)

I asked the Seer, “How do I get closer to God?”

And he said, “You’ve got to ask Him to take you to that place–that special place where He dwells, where we can commune with Him.

“What is that place you speak of?”

“It is in a corner of His kingdom where He rules and reigns.  It’s in a spiritual world, invisible to mortal eyes.”

“It sounds very mystical and mysterious to  me.”

“All true seekers must by definition be mystics.  For they believe that it is possible to transcend our first estate as humans and finally become one with the Higher Power.  That is their goal, their hope, their belief.  And so it has been throughout the ages.  Philosophers, prophets, and sages of every ilk the world over have known that a spirit world exists.  They knew that a spiritual place apart from our five senses is out there somewhere–a place where the unexplained things intrigue the mind of man.  There are many ways that seem right, but only one way leads to the celestial home, and that is Christ.  He is the way to that special place.  He and He alone is able to take us by the hand and lead us to where we want to be.”

“I want to get there, but how do I?”

“It is not a physical place that we can travel to and enter, like a concrete city with its buildings of brick, mortar, stone, and colored glass.  Nor is it where the ocean’s waves lap at our ears with its endless breath.  Nor is it in the green cathedral forest, where the congregants stand erect, lifting their verdant arms up to the light blue ceiling, listening to the crunch of our footsteps and the whispers of our wonder at being in their presence.  No, this is not the special place where God will meet us.”

“Where is that place then?”

“It is that quiet country that spreads forth its boundless plain  in another dimension where God dwells.  Because He is an invisible Spirit, to experience His presence, we must finally come to that special place.”  It was as if the Seer was speaking in riddles.  The words, separated from each other, made sense, but when strung together, they spoke of something inviting, but covered in a fine mist.

I finally said, “I’m reminded of a line in that song, I really want to see You, Lord, but it takes so long, my Lord.”

“Yes, that sums up nicely the soul of the seeker, how we all feel, or have felt.  To our finite mind, time is slow. That inkling of a ray of the light of truth that we glimpsed when we were twenty may not be fully illuminated until we are sixty.  The knowledge that we need to love others, for instance, and not our selfish selves, may come to us when we are young, but how to incorporate the love-from-above into living takes time.  We must learn to forgive, appreciate, and in so doing, love others in all their human frailties.  This may take a lifetime.  And it is this needed patience on our part that shipwrecks hope.”

“I do want to be a loving human being.”

“Of course, you do.  But before being comes doing, and before doing comes knowing.  Knowledge comes first.”

“What knowledge are you speaking of exactly?”

“First, knowledge of the Creator’s plan and purpose must be attained.  Then we must get knowledge as to how we corrupt humans fit into that plan and purpose.  We must realize that we are special to Him.  We are ‘the apple of His eye.’  We are in and have been in His thoughts before time was ever stretched and measured out over the earth.  We are blessed for we know that plan.”

“What is His plan for us?”

“The teeming masses swarm to the latest thing that will tickle their greed or assuage their fear, and most, alas, will not come to the knowledge that God has created them for one major purpose: He wants to reproduce Himself in us!  While the majority of humans plod their own path or someone else’s path, He is quietly calling out a few with plans to transform them into vessels that will display Himself.  That is what His ultimate purpose is about.   All those who get on board with what He is doing, will be at peace, for they will be on the same page as the Great One.”   KWH   [To be continued…Let your thoughts be heard; make a comment.  To read more go to my books here http://yahwehisthesavior.com/unveiling.htm ]

Christ in You–The Treasure in Earthen Vessels

Every stimulus that bombards our five senses works to prevent us from glimpsing the true Light.  It is no accident that this happens; the great Creator made it this way so that His spiritual offspring would have spiritual struggles to overcome, thereby making them stronger.  This is His doing and not ours; we would not do it this way.  “His thoughts are not our thoughts.”

It is the overcoming of sin that lies at the heart of the Christian experience.  Man’s thought says to us, No one can stop sinning in this life.  This is pure self-projection, for the scriptures of truth speak otherwise.  They speak of a deliverance from sin.  “He that is dead is freed from sin” (1).  And, “He shall save His people from their sins” (2).  And “He that is born of God does not commit sin, for His seed remains in him and he cannot sin because he is born of God” (I John 3: 9).

This is what actually distinguishes the children of God from the children of darkness.  I have written extensively about the “cross experience.”  For it is there that one must come and surrender their old sinful selfish ways and just let them die with Christ, who bore them there; and be buried with Him, and be raised with Him.  Or rather, through belief in the “operation of God” that raised Him up, we also can be “raised to walk in a newness of life” (3).  This is “where old things are passed away,” where “all things are become new” (4).  This is bottom line.

For it is His Life that counts.  He doesn’t want a re-directed, re-furbished, re-cycled old selfish life.  No.  Our old life has to completely go, completely die out.  He wants His life taking root and growing up in us.  And finally, God wants His Spirit, the Spirit that is in Christ, to grow and flourish inside of us to the point that we become just like the Son of God.  There it is.  That is His plan and purpose.  But only a few will have the faith to believe it and walk in it.

This is the secret kept from the foundation of the world–the secret that all seekers have wanted to know down through history.  It is the treasure kept hidden in plain sight in this old world, a vast spiritual chest of knowledge much more precious than gold and diamonds.  “And few there be that find it” (5).

Why?  Because one cannot find this elusive spiritual treasure when moved by selfish motives.  For one will not be given the map to find it if one seeks it selfishly.  “Only the pure in heart shall see God” and His purpose and plan to reproduce Himself.

One can even read about this treasure in plain English, like you are reading this right now, and if their eyes have not been anointed with eyesalve, they can read the words, but the message will lay thud-like on leadened ears.

Here, then, is the secret of this “sacred mystery which up till now has been hidden in every age and every generation, but which is now as clear as daylight to those who love God.  They are those to whom God has planned to give a vision of the full wonder and splendour of his secret plan for the nations.  And the secret is simply this:  Christ in you!  Yes Christ in you bringing with him the hope of all the glorious things to come” (6).  And those things include His government and righteousness filling this earth–precious things that we, His children, the overcomers will inherit.  He is our Father; therefore, we are His heirs, heirs of all things!

But before all this happens, we have to get over ourselves and realize that we are nothing; it is all Him, all Christ.  Once we receive that, we can find rest.    KWH

“Let This Mind Be in You”–Thinking the Way Christ Thinks

We are to have God’s purpose in mind.  But therein lies the problem.  How do we know what God’s purpose, plan and priorities are?  The answer is found in the writings of the apostles and prophets.  And they speak of “the elect,” “the sons of God,” and of the wonderful works that God will do through them at the time of the end.

God Will Make It Happen

Because it is His plan and He is all-sovereign and all-powerful, He will make it all happen and come together.  He will call out His sons and daughters, bidding them to come away a while and learn of Him.  He will draw them away from the cacophony of man’s thoughts and rumblings and the vain trappings of the Spirit-less life and feed them with wholesome spiritual food.

Putting on the Mind of Christ

Shouldn’t we be thinking on the things that God is thinking about, too?  We are admonished to do this.  “Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus/Yahshua.”  We have to allow His mind to come into us and take over.

What was in His mind?  He knew that He was in God’s form, that His body was the temple of God, the place for God to dwell in.  Christ knew that His Father Yahweh meant all along to come fully into Him and dwell in Him.  He knew that He was the heir, that He would inherit the Spirit of God Himself!  This was in His thoughts and mind.  And we should have the same mind and thoughts as Christ did.

But Christ humbled Himself, knowing that humility is the way a human should walk on earth.  He submitted Himself unto death.  Now we are asked to follow Him in a “baptism into His death,” where sin and its sin nature dies with Christ.

Doing this, we will the become “blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” (Phil. 2: 5-15).

Christ is our example, and He was always “about His Father’s business,” which is bringing forth His sons and daughters.  We now should make the “Father’s business” our business.  If we do, you know that He will be pleased.     Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Peter Schiff: Feds Running a Ponzi Scheme Like Madoff–The Speech Obama Won’t Give

Peter Schiff tells it like it is in a speech at the Austrian Scholars Conference, March 13, 2009:

“China knows we’re not going to pay them back. Of course we’re not going to pay them  back their money. It’s impossible. We can’t. We can’t possibly.

Can you imagine? Can you imagine President Obama giving the following type of speech to the American citizens?

He’ll give a national televised address and say, “My fellow Americans, I’ve got a little news for you today. We’re going to have to have a massive, across-the-board tax increase on average working Americans. Any American that still has a job is going to have to pay much higher income taxes.

“And, as a matter of fact, we’re going to have to cut Social Security across the board. Forget the Social Security check, we’re going to have to reduce it. And remember all my plans about more education and health care for everybody and energy independence, we got to put all those plans on hold, because the Chinese need their money.

“We borrowed a lot of money from the Chinese and we’re good for our debts. They worked hard for that money and they loaned it us to and we’re going to pay it back. And that’s going to require a big sacrifice on our part.”

Does anyone think that we’re going to do that? What are they, kidding me?

Do you know what we’re going to tell the Chinese? We’re going to say, “You guys are predators, predator lenders. We need a modification program. We need a cramdown on this. You never should have lent us all this money. You know we can’t pay it back. It’s not our fault.”

The Chinese know this. The Chinese–they can’t even vote in our elections. Why are we going to care what they think? We’re going to tax voters to pay non-voters? So the Chinese know they’re in this box.

The US government, we don’t pay our bills. We’re like Bernie Madoff. People loan us money. How do we pay it back? We borrow more.

If somebody came to Bernie Madoff a couple years ago and wanted their money, they got it. Why did they get it? Because they were able to take in new money. They found another sucker who didn’t know it was a Ponzi scheme.

Same thing the US government does. Every time a bond matures, we just go sell another one. And every time we need to pay interest on the national debt, we go borrow that too. Well, it works until nobody wants to lend us any more money, then we’re going to have to default, just like Bernie did.

And there’s only two ways we can default. We just legitimately don’t pay, or we print money. That’s it. There’s only two ways to repudiate your debt. There’s no way we’re going to pay the debt; the Chinese have to know that, and we’re going to figure that out.”  [For the whole speech and video, go here: http://mises.org/story/3493 ]

America and the whole world are in trouble. The banksters, led by a nefarious spirit of greed and lies, have conspired to enslave the people of the earth. But the good news is that the King Jesus (Yahshua), who is not the milktoast wisp He’s painted out to be–He’s coming back with a “rod of iron” to smash their evil designs. And He will set up a righteous Kingdom wherein dwells peace and joy for a thousand years. That is the good news. That is the gospel.  Kenneth Wayne Hancock

“Though Our Outward Man Perish”–On Becoming Older in the Kingdom of God

In the world of men, the older one becomes, the less valuable they become–especially in American culture.  For only the outward appearance is esteemed.  But in the kingdom of God, as our earthly bodies age, it ofttimes yields a needed wisdom on the inside.  And with wisdom, one finds much spiritual treasure.

A Sense of Our Own Mortality

As our earthly body begins its corruption through aging, we begin to get a sense of our own mortality.  When we were young, we never thought that one day we would expire–that one day we would have breathed our last breath of earth’s good air.  We careened through youthful roads with a reckless abandon, never contemplating the delicate balance between life and death.

And then one day, we wake up and realize that we cannot do the physical feats we did in our youth.  And if we are blessed, we will then turn to the inward spiritual country, a land prepared by the Master Surveyor, laid out for those of us who will seek that rare realm.  This great land of the heart is called “the Kingdom of God” and it “is within you.”

Feeling the Need for the Spiritual

And as we turn to go there, we begin to feel the need for the spiritual food to sustain on our journey.  We see the futility of clamoring after things for just our earthly bodies, and we begin to respect and reverence the Spirit that fathered us anc created and placed us down here on earth.

Becoming older brings wisdom, for the dreams and schemes of youth have run their race cars into a wall of disillusionment.  Survivors of the crash walk more circumspectly, more grateful for more time to now think about the eternal things of God. It takes time’s erosion of our earthly strength to help us realize that God has an eternal purpose in all our trials, temptations, and tears.

The Fisher of Men

God allows us spools of line as a fisherman does a giant, fighting fish.  And with that extra line and time, the fish flips and flashes and flaps and flails until all his dreams and schemes of his own vainglory are surrendered to the will of the Great Fisherman.

And so it is with us.  He gives us great latitude to pursue our own way of non-surrender.  As the years pass, some will work so hard to wrestle free from God, that He allows them to throw off the hook.

But a chosen few will realize that they are destined for greater things, spiritual things, “things kept secret from the foundation of the world,” and they will surrender to His will.  They will see that “though the outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”  And because of this, these few will not look at the outward appearance, which shows the mere temporary things, but they will look on the invisible, into that dimension which is eternal (II Corinthians 4: 16-18).

And thus God brings them into His ship, into His heart, giving them a new spirit and a new in life–His life.

So becoming older can mean becoming wiser.  For with age comes spiritual clarity and more reverence for the Great Fisherman.  Youth are more likely to trust in the “arm of flesh,” which never has the strength to carry us down the road to immortality.   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

The Kingdom of God–Not a Worn Out Phrase

The phrase “kingdom of God” has been used so much by so many people from so many different religious backgrounds that its real meaning may have been lost.  Heretofore, most  have understood the phrase to mean “God’s kingdom,” or the kingdom that belongs to Him.  And this is true, it does belong to Him and His children.  However, there is another way to look at that phrase, and that is “the kingdom of the Spirit.”

It says in John 4 that “God is Spirit.”  Therefore, “kingdom of God” can be construed as “kingdom of Spirit.”  Or, in other words, it means a form of order and government headed by a Sovereign entity that is comprised of Spirit.  The Master did say that “the flesh profits nothing; it is the spirit that makes alive.”  “All is vanity,” in other words, except the invisible spiritual things.

We are admonished that we should seek first this invisible spirit kingdom.  Also, the only true worship of the Father is in spirit and in truth.  It is not any old spirit worship, but it must be spiritual and truthful. It won’t be anything remotely having to do with earthly natural things.

True worship is an invisible connection between our spirit in the human heart and the Eternal Creator Spirit.  It is the connection you cannot see.  You cannot legislate it, tax it, build fine buildings in order to coax true worship into your midst.  It is an invisible agreement between the Creator and His special spiritual creation, Adam.  “The true worshippers must worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”  They must find out the truth about His invisible Spirit reign within, for “the kingdom of God (Spirit) is within you.”

It is a realm of the heart, an inner sanctum full of true thoughts about the true nature of things.  “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.”  You can’t see it with your fleshly eyes.  It is not of this earth.  Consequently, when we look out over this earth, anything we see, be it ever so religious, cannot be or have anything to do with the kingdom of Spirit (God).

      “Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights.”  The kingdom of God is a dimension and realm that our five senses don’t pick up on.  It is not of this earth.  It must first be believed on, and then it will begin to manifest itself to the understanding of our hearts.  We will never see it first with our earthly eyes and then believe.  Faith must be exercised—believing having not yet seen with the fleshly eyes.  The kingdom of God is a government of God, who is Spirit, and who rules in our hearts by His very essence, which is spirit.      Kenneth Wayne Hancock        {For more on this topic see this earlier article  https://immortalityroad.wordpress.com/2008/03/14/not-of-this-earth/ and the one dated 3/17/08 }
